Hello everyone, today is Mid-Autumn Festival which is one of most important traditional festivals in our country.Eating mooncakes is also a tradition in this day.Do you know about Mid-Autumn Festival and mooncakes?Let me tell you. Mooncakes are to Mid-Autumn Festival what mince pies are to Christmas. The seasonal round cakes traditionally have a sweet filling of lotus seed paste or red bean paste and often have one or more salted duck egges in the center to represent the moon. And the moon is what is celebration is all about.Mid-Autumn Fstival falls on the 15th of August,it is the time when the moon is said to be at its brightest and fullest.About this festival, there are two legends which claim to explain the tradition of eating mooncakes. In this festival, all of family member always get together to enjoy the glorious of the full moon, taste delicious mooncakes and chat with each other. However my family hasn't follow this tradition in recent years as I am now studing far from home and so does my daddy.I feel a little bit disappointed.Today I have brought some mooncakes of different tastes. My school will hold a party of this festival tonight and I will stay with my friends,I will chat video with my parents on the Internet. So it's still good,do you think?

Yeah, I just saw it on the news a while ago. I am really curious about the taste of mooncakes since I haven't tried any yet. Yes, that's good that you'll still be able to talk with your parents via video chat.

The autumn festival in China sounds really interesting and lovely. I very much hope that you will really enjoy it. In my home country 21 June is mid summers eve. I like it but it isn't something we do anything for here. I hope you and your friends enjoy eating the moon cakes. On 5 November is in Guy Fawkes night when we enjoy seeing fireworks. It sounds wonderful the way you will enjoy this special day in China.
