Negative Discussion Go Viral!!!

Certain things always get more attention than others. I have gotten sort of swamped on a couple discussions but I liked it because I love to respond to all of them!

Isn't it the same offline too? Negative news is always headline while the good news never gets a mention I have a discussion saying that myLot is a scam and that is still receiving activity after 4 years and has 267 responses right now! Are you keeping up with all of those responses though? If not someone else will

I notice it too.. hehehe.. maybe because most people like to hear or read negative news rather than good news. Just read our newspapers everyday, most news are negative. Even our television news, it's all negative.. I don't know why, but people react easily when it comes to negative rather than positive news.

It is true in most of the cases. I too had problems in selecting a suitable title for my discussion but after getting into some discussions I have understood somehow to manage some suitable titles. I also seen a discussion from a newbie that he earns $25 in a day and the discussion was flooding with responses. But he had a great discussion inside. It happens most of the time.

The concise description of that kind of topic is "controversial". When you post something that is not widely accepted or very unpopular, it becomes controversial, and the more controversial the topic becomes, the higher the tendency it will go viral.

I think when you post some "controversial" topics or issues, a lot of people would really want to share their thoughts about it.

That overall is the interesting thing about this site. Since there are many people here from all over and different ages, etc, this is only bound to happen here from time to time. The thing is what we choose to do with it once it is posted here. Even in many discussions you will choose to start here from time to time not everyone is going to agree.. so like others have stated, just take time to respond back when you can but never try to argue and create enemies. That would never be good in the end.

I remember a time a few years ago when some members posted deliberately argumentative or hostile and volatile discussions in order to incite responses. To my surprise it seemed to work quite well because a vast number of members responded to object or condemn the statements made. I understood the feelings of members wanting to register their disapproval, but I always made a point of reading but not responding to avoid promoting that type of post. After all, if it works then it will continue to be used. However, if someone creates a discussion that offers opinions that I totally disagree with, but for the right reason that they believe what they are writing, then I probably would respond and disagree. It all depends on whether the poster has or appears to have a hidden agenda. It is simply a fact that if we disagree with something then we have something to say about it.

That's probably why there are so many negative news lately. We need to work against the negative vibes and bring more positive energy to the world.
