I was looking for someonline job when i encounter a guy who introduce me to mylot but he said to register me i need to pay him $16.7!! at time i do not have it so i asked him is there anyway? he replied " you can start working but later i may charge your registration fee double:(" i talk to a friend he said "you already need money i have some extra you can give him", so he paid from my side so i do not have to pay double.
I thought i will return him easily but seems like i can not work on mylot:(( none of my pictures getting accepted. Besides now i am confused should i really have to pay that guy because when he introduce me to mylotting and refrals he nowhere mentioned about charging money:((((((
I have never worked like this and now when I started i feel like being cheated by others.
please help me:((( Have you paid to start mylotting? Should I claim my money back???

Surely you still have something from when you sent him the money?
His username here and/or his Paypal address where you sent him the money.
Don't post it here though but I'm sure that through that you can reach him.

What is the Screen name of the person, maybe we can report them? But I don't know cause not really any way to prove this happened to nidakhan001 but through what has been said.

I don't think showing him any thing will help get your money back. Its kind of impossible unless he is just going to have a change of heart. Not likely for a con man.

If you can, you should get your money back. Did you sign up as a referral for him? If so, then you have his referral id and you could try reporting him to mylot. (Of course, maybe he gave you a fake id?)

mylot is free to register site and you don't have to pay any thing. the guy who had introduce you mylot in his own way had cheated you for sure.
keep in mind that mylot isn't a place to earn. try to have fun around here and i am sure you can gain the money you have lost.
next time don't fall to this tricks, for online earning you don't have to invest. unless you are dealing with investment program (which would turn to scam sooner) or buying a product from sites like amazon.

Many of us are happy to earn at least, if not more, than the minimum amount each month. That is easily accomplished if we follow what myLot tell us to do.

hey kai,
i totally realise it now that it is not a place to earn. I found friends, I am discussing with you guys my issues but I did not knew that before he introduce it to me like a money making website. Later i realise that more than money I am getting everything from here. It is not about money now that is why I am worried because already i have so many expenses besides because of that scammer I have extra burden of $16 to give:(( and i am totally not getting how to do that, I already got soo many important things to do with money I have.

Mylot is completely free, that guy made a profit from you and you got scammed. You can try to contact him and ask for your money but I am not sure if you'll have any results. You should do your own research before registering to sites.
Mylot states clearly that it's free in the FAQ page:

Most of us have been scammed at least once during our online work. Now you just have to focus on paying back your friend. Also, if he created your profile for you then you should probably change your password so that he doesn't have access to the money that you earn over here.

i woldhave done the researched on my own if he would have showed me the site earlier. He said I need to make your account and you will get your money back in a month. He was coming up with weired ideas and as it was my first experience to work on a site I was trapped.. :(( I know it is my mistake too but why do I have to pay a big money now:((

Honestly. That money is gone, you won't get it back. You'll just have to tell your nice friend that you'll pay them back, it just might take awhile. Whenever you look for online jobs don't take the bottomline on what they say. Many are scams, always check for reviews, and even if there are 10 positive reviews sometimes there will be even more negative reviews. Look around on here, many people are doing different things that work for them. You'll get some ideas, plus, you now know. Good Luck! Remember, if something interests you for online work, come to myLot and ask people about it.

hey jrk,
as you said I told my friend I will pay him back so writing articles now adays so whatever the money I'll get I will return him, but I myself worked once where I generated reviews as an assignment for a website without even knowing it properly so I just can not rely on them because I never know it is written by true people or not.

There's no charge for mylot. Is he a mylotter as well? because if he is, you could raise the issue to the administration of mylot so that his activities would be stopped. You are actually required to give you full name and paypal details here so if you know him (perhaps you paid online) then you can complain to them and have him banned altogether.
But as for getting your money back, I don't think you could. Lesson learned. You should have just asked and searched mylot first and read the FAQs before you gave him money.
Have a great mylot experience ahead!

You do not ever need to pay someone to join this site it is completely free and mylot pays you for your activity here. Whoever you paid scammed you. Report the person to mylot and since you paid through paypal report it to paypal as well open a dispute and try to get the money refunded.
You can earn your money back it just takes time on mylot for the money to add up. Leave quality comments and start quality discussions and you are on your way. Lets see over the past 6 days I've earned 54 cent, 27 cents, $1.22, 80 cents, $1.32 and 38 cents. Now I am just waiting for the totals to update today to see what I earned from all I did yesterday. I think it is so exciting to see how much I make each day.

Well just post lots of quality comments and discussions. Try to write at least three lines to a comment or discussions is what I try to do. I dont know why your pictures will not upload you might need to resize them and make them smaller so they will go through. Adding photos with discussions or comments helps your earnings a lot.

nidakhan do not give this bad person any more money as he had no right to charge you anything. He lied to you.He is a very rotten

if he had like charged you a few dollars for helping you register with mylot, then i guess it may be a fair amount for the trouble, but $16.7, wow! Is that in usd?
i am sure that by now you will have figured out that it is all completely free to register and start earning with tte few ways you can do so in mylot, referrals ,responding to or starting own discussion thread, cash gopher, etc.
as for whether you should claim back the money, think it is up to you.As mentioned earlier,it doesnt cost a thing to join mylot.

Nidakhan..none of us ever paid anything to anybody to come here and share our views and socialize.
Now, asking for $16.7 seems an odd amount to ask from anybody. I mean, I could ask for $10 or $20. But $16.7 is simply something that you possibly paid in your local currency as it might have been the amount that yields rounded amount. This means, you know the individual in person may be.
You have not specified your country. There are a few countries that did not have access to Paypal. May be he wanted to help you with that for that much money.
I for one would talk to this person and confirm. If he is a myLotter, I would obviously threaten reporting him to the admin here, GoAskAlice. That way, he is likely to lose his account here, and if he has been scamming like this, he may be having plenty of referrals as well. In all probability, he will return your monies if you threaten him like that.

I am sorry that you were told to pay the guy money to join this site. This site is free to join and they do pay when people make payout. I have been paid by this site and even if I do not make payout on a particular month I know I have to work hard to make it the next month. I would defiantly ask for the money back.

That's a scam, you got talk to the MyLot staff and report this guy! MyLot will be interested in it and cancel his account as much as his IP I'm sure cause it's their name on the line! You start free, everything is free, in MyLot we only gain! What a trick huh? He decided to gain referrals and fool them too... Smart a.. You got report him, I would if it was with me.

Then you must be his referral. Do you know him personally? I'm sad that people would take advantage of other people just to get what they want. And the saddest part is that you came from the same country.
Maybe our friends here can tell us how to trace who are our upline so we will know this person.
Anyway, just keep on working and you can get back that money in no time.

Contact Mylot and tell them that your referral charged you. They should be able to figure out who it is very quickly. No one should charge people to be here.

Khan, wish I could say more but there's nothing more to say, it as all been said here already, only thing thing I think you did wrong was been stupid and acting like a kid.
Why, I said so is because of the fact that since deciding that you wanted to make money onlinen you should have search for online earning sites and forums. Look at what people are saying about each sites, visit the site and read there FAQs, then decide which is suitable for you.
