I have received news yesterday that our friend has given birth to a bouncing baby girl! And though I have not yet seen her, her pictures are all over facebook! She's sweet!!! A little ray of sunshine during our gloomy days. I look forward to seeing her in person soon! Have you had any good news lately? Has this brought about a change in your mood, or a change in disposition, or even a change in your life. I know my friend and her husband's lives will change from now on. Do share!

Children, kids - they are so very lovely and lively. This discussion from you did bring back memories when I returned to see my brother's son (two days old then). And when I held him, he simply reached out to my mobile handset (- it has been an ordinary one which neither has any good features beyond making calls or texting). I cannot describe that moment when I felt life in my hands.
As for good news... ummmmmmm.... the last one probably was when I got myself drenched in rain and my wife kept yelling me not to get wet because of my arthritis... this was last rains a few months back...(I love her telling me what to do and what not to, just because she is away in a different city for work and I am all alone here)

My wife got a posting to this port town this Jan and she has been away since then. I have planned to relocate to her by Oct end. But she is unwilling at the moment as she believes that the sea climate will not be good for my arthritis. We have been discussing this for a few weeks now and maybe we would reach a conclusion this month end as this month she is having some long holidays for around 10 days and would be here.

Oh...would not a warmer climate be better for you? I think this needs a good research. It's good that she will be home for the holidays. At least you could spend some time together. In the last 5 or 6 years of my life, I have been living in a different city, away from my family and it's hard sometimes when you don't see them everyday. Thankfully, my brother is with me now and our mother comes every week because we have a business here. But, I still miss the people at home. Holidays are good news because I could always go home.

That is so right! And they're so innocent, too. When they look at you, your heart just melts. Oh!
Awww, your wife is sweet! You know that she cares for you even when you're not around. Is that a temporary situation that she's in a different city? I hope it's not something permanent. I hope that you'd stay together. In my country, a lot of married couples live like you because some spouses go abroad to work. I feel that it's heartbreaking to leave someone you love. If it were up to me, I wish that all married couples stay together, all families stay together. In the later years of my teenhood, my mom worked in another city and we were too busy in our own lives and we neglected my youngest brother. He grew up very rebellious, and I feel guilty that we were not all there to guide him.

I love seeing news such as that on social networking websites, because it makes me feel much better about my day. I always feel happy for people who have been able to have a baby, because it is the most amazing time in the life of a couple, and it changes them from being a couple to being a family instead. I hope that I will be able to post photos like that soon, as my partner and I are thinking about starting a family in the near future. We want to make sure that we have somewhere to live first, and then as soon as we do this we will be alright to start properly.

That's right. It's always a reason to celebrate. And so you couldn't count just how many "likes" her pictures garnered! Well, congratulations on your decision to start a family in the near future. But, yes, make sure that you have a permanent place to raise your future kids.

Two weeks and two days ago, my best friend's younger brother (who is also one of my close friends) became a father for the fifth time. Angie (my best friend) and I had the opportunity to meet little Lonnie Rayce today. He is so incredibly precious and he is growing really fast. You know, he is only a couple weeks old and he is already very alert and looking all around. He seems to be a very content baby and I know that Dad and Mom are happy to have this new addition to their family. Seeing Rayce really was a breath of fresh air to me.

A change in my life is living my homeland and move alone in a foreign country where English language is non-existent. It's a challenge and yet i'm enjoying it except for the occasional loneliness and homesickness. I've been here for more than a week and staying at a friend's. I thought i'd be okay if i stay with her but it's the opposite. I feel like a real stranger and i long to have my own apartment.

It's really hard at the start, but with much patience, hard work and a lot of prayers, you will make it there. It is good that you have your friend there with you. As to the homesickness, I think it will be better as you stay there longer. And, technology is so great now that there are so many ways you could stay in touch with your family here.

Wow, I am in awe! I admire women and people who have gone through cancer and survived or are in the process of surviving. It takes a lot of courage to be able to go through that! I have heard that my friend's cancer has reached stage four, but she seems hopeful that her treatments will still benefit her. With her determination and faith, it has given her the courage to fact this battle. I hope you continue to be free of that disease.

I hope so, too. I pray for her recovery. She is very young and is needed by a lot of people. And know that's where she draws her strength.

I know how you feel! I'm crazy over my nieces, too! I have two official and one unofficial (hihihi... she is my sister-in-law's niece, but since her mom is abroad, she's living with her aunt. so, in effect, she's also my niece). And, when I go home to our hometown, I always have some gifts to spoil them with. I wish they would still go for a boy so I could have a nephew, but, I don't know if they still want to conceive, what with all prices rising.

That's right. Having a new born baby is such a happy event. I am just a friend, but I feel so excited. Now I can imagine that my happiness time 100x is how happy my friend feels. I hope that I can see her soon.

That's great. Congrats to the new parents. Well that is really the advantage of having facebook accounts we can see pictures of our relatives, friends, new babies of friends and relatives before we can meet them in person. Hope you can see the baby soon.

Yes, that is one advantage of Facebook. I was not even aware of it, but I logged on early morning and she was there! All pink and pretty. Yes, I do hope I get to meet her soon. And, speaking of FB, I am updated of the lives of friends and relatives even if they're already living away or abroad. And the good thing is, you can find people there who you thought you won't see again. I have friends who have been a part of my past and are now living elsewhere. It's like one big party and you see some familiar faces in there.

Aww, that's such a good news! I always like hearing births of healthy babies. Babies always can pick up the mood no matter how gloomy it is. I think it's their innocence and sweetness can affect even the saddest of men.
So far, we haven't had any news as great as this, but we're hopeful. So far there's no bad news either so it should be good. We're crossing our fingers!

Yes, everyone's excited about her. And she's all sweet and oh so pretty! Well, as they say, no news is good news. I feel like that, too. Everytime I receive a text message, I pray that it is not some bad news.
