surekha: I do not believe in Vaasthu. I look at it as a lay man. 1) I have been told that if a man spends more water he will spend more money. I believe it because it has been told by my elders. 2) Nowadays water is costlier than milk in cities. so when water goes down the pipe automatically we have to pay more money to government. 3) Water is a scare commodity nowadays. Tamil nadu government is struggling for giving water for irrigation in Tanjore belt supposed to granary of south India. So saving of water will help production of grains and in turn improve wealth. 4) here in canada and USA -- area is much larger -- water is more in comparison to India -- people are not bothered about water its usage . They do not adopt rain water saving system. In Tamil nadu we have done and it is useful. If we save water we need not buy from others and save money,. 5) Where water is leaking in a tap--a) one cannot get sleep on account of sound b) shows he is careless in not setting things right and that careless will result in wastage of money. Surekha--- We can write a book on this. collect ideas from all people and then put it in the form of article and then as a book.

HI, What you read/heard is true. As per Vaastu, the leaking of water in the household taps causes unwanted expenses and more so the 'noise' of falling water (when the tap is leaking) also spreads negativity. Above all, wasting water is not good either way. So even if we don't believe in such sayings / readings, saving water is essential for our brighter tomorrowsssssss. take care.

Hi dear, There are many superstitions made for making good habits among people. Water is so precious and should preserve it properly. Flowing water from the pipe means wastage of water and of course we have to spend more money on electricity charges (for using water motor) and water bill. I felt the intention of this superstition is, to spread a fear on people so that they will cautious if there is any damage on pipe and repair it so quickly.

Yes, I have heard that a dripping faucet wastes a lot of money. Besides that it is one of the most annoying sounds in the world especially when you are trying to sleep! It is very wasteful and it is important to get them fixed as soon as possible.

Yes it right dropping water is harmful. According to vastu it is not good. Despite it dropping or leakage of water is not good for health. If out tap is dropping water it means out bathroom always remains in wet condition and it is ideal situation for virus.

Hi, The water company is making lots of noise about leaking water including from the faucet. But consider this: dripping water from a tap does not make much headway on the water meter but if you collect them overnight, it could amount to almost a cubic meter. Now, that's a cubic meter of free water, isn't it?

I do not know about any sentimental belief but I have heard of a similar thing. It is that people who are careless with water would be very extravagant by nature. This can easily be logically explained. We all have a duty, a moral responsibility to preserve natural resources. How careful would people be with their money if they are careless with another natural resource? It is only a character streak. People who have faced water shortage would know the value of water.; many such statements are said in order to engender fear in people so that they would behave well. It is sad but sometimes fear is the key to many things. When people are not internally disciplined they need an external whip and these statements are only such whips.

hi surekharathi yes dripping faucets will run up your water bill something furious. If your hubby is good with his hands he can repair it aa usuallyits just a worn out piece on the faucet that needs replacing but if he is not its still worth a plumber's bill to stop the water waste.If its just that the last person using the faucet has not turned if all the wa y off check and be sure its tu nred off .but if it still leaks a part has to be replaced and thst in not at all expensive.hope this helps . hugs fro m hatley

I can't really say that a dripping tap is not good for life in general, but I can definitely say that a dripping tap is something that is a huge waste of money for our families. We have had times that our toilet will drip and when that happens I find that our water bill is significantly higher than it usually is. There are many other things that can happen in our homes that are a money drain as well. We are able to be a lot more fiscally healthy if we watch out for those things.

I don't get what you mean,are you trying to tell of drinking water from the tap? we don't drink water from tap as we know its not safe we normally buy mineral water and have it delivered to our home though its not that expensive so its alright as its more safe. We only use tap water for bathing, washing and cleaning but not for drinking or food washing. And i guess its already common here to use mineral water besides there's so many water station everywhere now because of it also.

Once i heard from my friends.And maybe it's not good for life while many people still love to drink water from the tap.I love to drink hot water and it helps my body metobalism.Still really thanks for share your opinions and i would love to tell more of my friends.

Never hear of that and never happened. Although everybody will repair a tap like that over here at once. It's an annoying sound and if it continues your water bill will rise that is for sure.

Hi, You are right. Dropping water from tap is not good for life. I am not so superstitious. Many people are facing problem of water scarcity. They don't have water even to drink. and wasting water by keeping tap dropping water is not fair. I don't know about dropping water from tap means more expenses or money is going out of the house.

There is slogan saying If you don't save water right now,then the last dropping water is your last tear.when this slogan come true,people will never have any chance to cry.

I have heard that a leaking tap brings bad luck to the members of the household. I dont believe in this myth at all. But I do not allow the taps to leak because then we are wasting water which is very precious.

dear sis, Water drops is water wasting. Imagine, if how many households left their taps with water dropping everyday- that can accumulate a drum of water. So how many drums of water are wasted everyday...so we must and should check leakage in our tap.

In our country, I think that is unfamiliar. other than the reasoning of water wastage, there is nothing more reason for it.
