To my married fellow mylotters did your dream wedding came true during your wedding day? What was your dream wedding? And if not what was the dream wedding you are thinking about and what happened instead?
And to those who are still planning not or not been wed yet. What is your dream wedding?
For me my dream wedding is a church wedding. For some it's outdated would you agree? beach or garden wedding would be cool. But for me there's no other way to make the most special day that I've been long awaited to be as solemn and feel more the presence of God if it is not held in the church.

I almost forgot about dreaming of an ideal wedding when I got pregnant with someone I don't love and decided not to get married. I thought my happy ever after ended there, till I met my present boyfriend. He has a dream wedding of his own by the way. He always want a church wedding. The same church beside our school that we both went to in high school. He wants the door to be closed and while people are waiting inside the church for the bride to arrive. Then the music ''Ikaw'' will play while the door is slowly opening and light white smoke will fill the entrance while the bride is entering the church and walking down the aisle. I think it's so sweet.

Oh! that's really sweet. Your boyfriend's dream wedding is awesome. Not all men has that creative mind when it comes to special event planning. You're so lucky your wedding day will be very memorable.

If I ever get married, I would prefer a small and intimate event. I was the best man in a wedding last year, and it took place at a house with maybe 30 people attending. Something similar to that sounds okay to me.

That's a good idea prospectboy. Your own wedding would matter on how you want the event to happen. On how you feel it to be memorable the way you want it to be.

I don't want a white wedding dress.
I want a midnight blue wedding dress with silver gems on it that look like stars, and I want the planets going down my back. I will still wear a white veil, but I want stars on my tiara for my veil.
I want to get married in the evening, in Long Beach, with all of my friends and some of my family present.
I want the 501st to be at my wedding as well, but I don't know if they would like to volunteer for it. I want it to have an Astronomy/Science Fiction theme.
I want some guy who looks like Carl Sagan to marry my boyfriend and me. I want everyone at my wedding to wear some kind of outfit with stars or something Science Fiction. My wedding is going to be very spacey, then again, my boyfriend and I said "I love you" in Astronomy Class.

A one of a king wedding plan. Really unique! Most of the woman would really dreamed of that white dress on their wedding just like me but yours is really different. But anyway it would matter on what the bride and the groom would like their wedding will be. It's good to have a really different wedding though. And the theme is really good.

Hi Chen,
I will be tying the knot soon - 2 and a half months away from now. I cannot still answer your query if my dream wedding came true or not, but I will let you know. ...Although, I can say that we are trying to keep our dream wedding to come true.
As for me, I want a simple wedding. It is a Christian wedding in the garden. Our theme is travel because my fiancee and I love to travel. The changing of vows is the part I am anticipating for and of course the blessing. I want to retain the privacy that is why only family, close relatives and close friends are the only people invited.

That's a good plan maean, as long as the important persons in your lives are present that would make the day memorable. I like that idea also. My best wishes for you and to your husband to be. So, I'll be waiting for the update.

I have been with my partner for several years now, so getting married is something that we are now starting to think about a little bit. I have been thinking about what I would like to happen at my wedding so that I would be able to plan it as easily as possible, and I decided that I would want it to be quite small. The only people who I would want to be present were my family and very close friends, because I think that it would feel a lot more intimate that way. As long as the most important people in my life were there, then there would be nothing else to worry about.

My dream wedding was being married at the Manila Cathedral by then Archbishop of Manila Jaime Cardinal Sin. He did officiate our wedding but we decided to have it at the Archbishop's Palace instead coz my in laws didn't want to walk that long aisle to the altar.

That was a memorable wedding isn't it? Not all bride had the chance to be wed and that the wedding was officiated by the archbishop.

My dream wedding was always to be married at the church that I grew up in where we would be surrounded by our family and friends. This was something that did come true for the most part, but another part of it didn't come true. All of our very close friends were there and most of my family attended our wedding and reception as well. However, when it came to my husband's family, the only ones that showed up were his parents and his brothers. His grandparents and his aunts and uncles didn't come to our wedding and I honestly have to say that I still have hard feelings about that eight years later.

My dream wedding is to wed the guy i truly love of course it must be the first criteria, though i don't dream of big wedding i just want it simple with my family and closed friends and not because im trying to save cost but i just want it solemn with those closed to me besides cost savings is also my priority if he want it big then ill just ask him to save extra money for our future which is more important, i don't want to have big wedding then you will be on a big debt and instead of enjoying your married life your just paying all the debts instead. Im into practical ways coz i know its not easy to spend a lot of money even though they said its an important occasion but there's no important to me but to marry the guy i love in front of my family and friends that will matter.

I got married 8 years ago in April. My dream wedding did not happen the way I wanted it to but what I wanted was not important, the important part was that we got married in the presence of God.
What I wanted was to get married and have a reception after where we all danced and had a good time. I also wanted a honeymoon but never got that either.
The only reason was because we did not have the money to have my dream wedding...
Maybe one day when we have the money we can renew our vows and do it the way we want it to be...

really unique kokomo. But is their really a church beside the beach? But if there's none could it be a church wedding while the reception is on the beach?

I dont remember anymore what's my dream wedding. But what remains in my memory is that I'm able to marry a guy that I dreamt of living with forever. We had a church wedding at my local church (where I go every sunday and serve) and a reception at a resort. We just consider of having a big reception place so everyone will have their table and seats. And it will not look crowded.
Though I did all the planning. I even did the invitation, ceremony, program and give aways. So everything, is with my personal touch. Though we really budgeted everything and make things practical. Like my wedding gown is not personalized, but when I saw it, I told them "this is the one", and it only costs Php3000.00 or $71.00.
It should be once in a lifetime. But it doesnt matter if its glamorous or simple. As long as you'll feel the blessing and happiness.
