As per report in the newspaper, many guys from Majhor and Malar village of district-Chattarpur of Chhattisgarh state remain unmarried because of water scarcity in those villages.
Nobody is ready to give their daughter in marriage to youth of these villages because of water shortage; women have to collect water from far places.
Government is aware of this, but the development schemes are in pen and paper only.
Does your place or places near your place have such issues?
It is sad that the guys are forced to remain unmarried.
Please share your valued tips and comments.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Maa,
I am hearing such a story for the first time. Girl’s parents do not want to send their daughters to a place where there is water scarcity, we can’t blame them. At the same time, these guys have not done any mistake. I really wonder how their families are coping with this problem. Their mothers are suffering much, too bad. I think the youth should take imitative to find a solution for this problem. It is not the case of getting marrying, they need water for their day to day life, and must do something to open the eyes of the government.

Hahah...Govt. will not do anything only busy in fill the house from money. They are think only about them not others. This is very sad no married due to water but aunty even if water is more most of the boys are unmarried because more difference between girls and boys ratio. In our community 10 boys behind 1 girl. So marriage problem arise. In our home everything is okkk property, monthly income is more, family is small but still my dever is unmarried because the girl demanded the person should well educated and my dever is busy in business so they are only graduate.

Wow! Now that's too much for water fetching! LOL.
Anyway, here in where I'm at, when men court woman before; they have to fetch water for the girl's family as a sign of respect and hard-work. Why don't you try having a custom like that, too? In that way, men are being assigned to work diligently and women can now find out who's going to be the best man wins. ahahaha!
Nowadays, courting here in our country fades and it seems that everything; even relationships are instant. LOL. Hope to see some things and development about this in your community. I would love to hear more about this also from you. Thanks and happy Mylotting!

Luckily, this has never been something that I've heard of being a problem here. There are definitely a lot of problems that happen in the area that I live in that do keep men from marrying as early as they might have once married, but these are more economic problems based on the financial difficulties that have been being experienced in the United States over the last several years. I do have faith that things will soon be better in our country though.

I think parents of daughters don't want to send them to place with water shortage, because they worried about them, so we can't really blame them. However it's sad to hear though. Government should take steps to tackle this water crisis, it needs to be real steps not only by paper. Water is a basic necessity of humans. Shortage of water will be pretty devastating. Safe water for drinking is even more essential.

That is very sad for the men. They may be very good men but will not have wives given to them because of the work. I sort of understand, but it is very sad. I would be willing to walk a long ways for a good man!

that's so sad, Government has to take certain measures ,at least so that people will get water to live, or else the people of that place should take some strong decision so the government will have to come forward to help them, How can they leave the people like that?.

Hi,
It is very strange news. In Maharashtra state also there are many villages facing water scarcity problem. But the guys in these areas don't remain unmarried. Women in these areas also have to bring water from long distance. In our city we don't have the problem of water scarcity. We should use water carefully and save water.
