In the past weeks, bullying in school is a hot topic in news. There was this student, whom was bullied by his classmates, so when he could not bear anymore the abuse that he was getting, he fought back and punch his classmate. However, his classmate informed his father of the incident, so his classmate's father arrived in school, confronted him and even pointed a gun at him. I believe that it is the school's responsibility to check on the welfare of the students and should not allow such acts and bringing of gun at the school premises. Such experience will cause trauma on the part of the student. I also think that the parent should have clear the situation first and should not tolerate his child bullying another student. If being bullied, what do you think must the subject do to avoid being abused?

I think it is good that this is a hot subject right now. There is a movie out about it and it is good to bring this to the surface and find a solution. I think that schools need to make it easier for kids to talk to teachers about such things and something definitely needs to be done about peer pressure. I think kids need to think better of themselves. Self esteem has alot to do with this. Working on a child's self esteem and how he percieved himself is very important.

I was bullied all throughout elementary school, middle school, high school, and my first two years of college (no joke, I was actually bullied in college), and it got better after my second year of college, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it is today. When I got bullied, it was usually only during the day, at school, but nowadays, children are being bullied 24/7 and many of them don't know how to handle it.

Well, I guess at the first instance that he/she was bullied, he/she shall seek the attention of his/her class adviser or anyone in authority in the school. It is advisable to inform them so they can talk to the class bully so that such case will not worsen.
