I know some people live alone, or maybe some have pets as company. Living alone can be very boring, or am I wrong? This is most especially so when there is no television nor internet to entertain you. How would you feel to be living alone without TV and computer? How would you use your time at home in this situation?

Although right now I'm staying with my son till I get my own place again, I have lived by myself for years. Some of those years have been without TV and internet and it didn't bother me. I have several hobbies that I engage in and I also enjoy reading. Sometimes I think having the internet and TV available all the time is a curse for I don't always work on things I should because it's so easy to get on line or turn on the television and not get anything accomplished.

Well, I, despite 37 years, I still live with my parents.
If there is one thing that I have always tried, it is therefore the independence to live alone. At the moment for me, this is unfortunately not possible! (I'm out of work!)
However, to stay on topic with your discussion, I do not think I be able to live alone without internet. Without the TV probably yes, because I almost never look at it. But Internet for me is almost like a job, especially for an interesting site, as Mylot.

Yes it is boring for the kind of person who used to lived in with others.
And then suddenly lives alone for sure they will missed the times that
they have company. But for the people who are used to lived alone like me
I don't have hard time to moved on fast. When I moved here in my home town
from the city and from the kind of work I have. I know that will be my life here alone with my daughter and with my dog. But it did not give me hard time
since I need more peaceful and quite living away from the city that I was always
disturbed.

I don't live alone at the moment, but I did for a few months while I was a student, and I didn't like it at all. I didn't have internet or television either, and the only thing that I was able to do was the work for my degree. I actually hated it that much that I had to move out after four months because I was just fed up of only having my own company all of the time. So I moved into a house with three other people with internet and television and it was so much better. I couldn't even believe I'd ever considered being on my own.

Even when you live with someone it could also be very boring. Even with the internet and cable tv, it could also be very boring.
I am married and when i was in my country I worked from home for two years. I isolated myself from my friends since I was always busy with my online classes. For two years i was living like a hermit, going out only to do some shopping when i had a free time. Then it became so boring. So i've decided to go to another country and now i'm bored again because i'm still alone in the apartment and my friend has abandoned me in this foreign land.

I live alone and I don't know how, but I always have something to do. Internet is a big part of my day. Tv is just for some nights.

From 2006 to 2007, I lived on my own, I rented a small room. I didn't have tv nor computer as I also didn't feel the need to have those to entertain me at the time. I also hated carrying a lot of stuff when moving from one place to another so it was a blessing I didn't own any.
Since I worked in a call centre then and on a night shift, my pastime usually over the weekend would be going to the mall. reading a book, sending text messages to my friends, or going to the internet cafe to chat with friends for a bit.
Honestly I could say I did manage to live on my own and with less distraction from tv or internet during those times.

I lived alone for about year while I work abroad. I do not have television, but I do have internet. I wasn't the least bored; being alone means I have to do everything by myself; unless I want a very untidy abode I can just skip cleaning up.
I do get scared sometimes especially when I wake up in the middle of the night to pee, and it will hit me that I am just alone. But that experience is the most character building I have ever had. I learned how to be independent and self-reliant. Responsibility held a new meaning to me after that.

That is what I really want to do. If only I was blessed with financial independence I cloud have been living alone. But of course living alone and should internet connection.
It's because I was not fortunate enough to be blessed with family's own house. Since I was a kid I've been transferring from one house to another and not living with my own family's house. And if you're living in somebody else' house they would have the right to insult you, treat you as a slave and that's what I'm experiencing today that's why I'm really aiming to leave alone.
