How they hold their babies..

So it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and then Shilpa, and Lara Dutta. Soon it will be Twinkle. Strange we were not so interested in Hema Malini's kids, or Sridevi's kids. Or were we? Why is media hell bent on telling me this is what I am interested in? I AM NOT. I know for certain, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's husband is just average in looks. So I dont expect her to be a mother of another Aishwarya Rai. Even if probability is there, I am still not interested. I would rather the baby gets fair chance to breath properly instead of being protected from media by covering her face. So Aishwarya was doing all that baby face covering routine diligently, and now it is Shilpa's turn, and Lara Dutta's turn. Is this ramp walk or something that everybody shows how babies are to be held by fashionable women? End of rant.. PS..I had no issues with Aishwarya putting on weight also. It made me feel better for a while because I am overweight.

This is really interesting. Here in our country, celebrities are proud parents. They post their baby's pictures soon as the baby was born. They will set photo session for covers with magazines or first television appearances to let their fans see how their favorite celebrities babies looks like (who resembles most).

Yeah..it seems silly actually. She should organize a press meet, and auction the rights of first print to the highest bidder. Whatever comes into the baby's account is for the child's future. Why smother the kiddo..for heaven's sake. She is own child and not some child artiste you dangle around for movie role..lol

hi vandana, Yeah I saw few pics of Aish holding her baby like she hide it in public maybe she don't want her baby to see the flash of cameras from paparazzi. But she is a celebrity she can't take it even but I saw Aamir Khan pic holding his baby he let the public saw it. In my country some celebrity let people see their child how it looks like but there are some who choose not to see their baby in public. Well Aish can loose some weight if she wants too.....this is one of changes in woman's body if you gave birth. happy mylotting

I really dont know why they do it. They know they are celebrities. They know such interest is inevitable. When the kid would join the school, wont they see the child? Why bother? As to Aamir Khan, he is sane. Dont compare sane people with people who have lost it. lol.

I do not see any speciality in celebrity's babies. They are as other babies, may be affluence will give them more facilities, more care and more good health. Why the media gives so much importance for these normal activities of carrying babies, let it be by celebrities, I do not understand.

Everybody, media, talks to promote his/her own interests. So it is not the media on fault but it is the fault of the listener who listens and means to say 'I am not interested in' and still discusses the matter to waste her talent which should have been applied on more productive, important and socially relevant issues. To me human problems are enough for discussing about instead of wasting time on socially-irrelevant individuals and their pups..

How do you tell the media in what you are interested instead of settling for what media wants to offer you? :) Yes...waste of newsprint if you ask me..and harmful for the child as well.

Honestly ...I think media prefers to popularize news about celebrities solely because nobody wants to cross swords with politicians. After all, politicians and other government officials do have their sets of goons to send after them. Who wants to be killed.

We need not tell the media about our interest but go by our interests strongly and the media would follow us. It is war of nerves between individuals and the media in which only the strong win.

Hi Vandana, I Laughed on reading your discussion. I too read this news (about Aishwarya) in yahoo pages every time when I try to sign in to check mail in yahoo. Media is trying their best to take photos of her baby and she hold her baby like she is not at all interested to show her baby in public. I think media is more interested when they try to hide else they took one photo and not give much importance (That is what I felt). I really don’t understand why media is giving this much importance to the celebrities. They can do something creative instead of running behind these people.

Oh Sreekala..that was how it was meant to be..laugh at the stuff. I mean these celebrities are making it a trend to hold their babies in a way that is way different from the traditional ways, effectively choking may be? And it is a trend..which means, if Aishwarya does it, Shilpa Shetty will do it too, and so will Lara, and Celina Jaitley, and Twinkle..all because Aishwarya does it..lol

Honestly sid, I dont like Aishwarya covering her child, smothering the child, just to prevent media from getting a glimpse of the baby. I wish others would not copy her. But they are copying her.

Aishwarya was and is still considered to be a leading lady by many. And so they follow her footsteps. another reasoning may be - she and her ways are proven now and so the others instead of devising something new, are merely following her road or it can even be something like they miss being the Family of Big B. Personally, if I had a say, I would have allowed Aishwarya and Jr. B with beti B to go abroad and settle for a few months or even years and in the meantime, I would have kept visiting them... Such a hype was just uncalled for. But I guess it is the way how things are to be done when you are a celeb and you have so many news hungry people following you...

Why should the baby be suffocated? If she truly loved her kid - she would have said I give a dam*n whoever gets a glimpse of her. LET HER BREATHE NORMALLY INSTEAD OF HAVING HER FACE and NOSE COVERED.

hi, Finally i heard the Bachhans just wanted to keep off from being treated as a 'celebrity baby' from day one and they also say she's like any other normal child so why the media should be after the baby for a smile or a glimpse of hers.... more so, i am not actually bothered how they bring up their child?

I bet Bacchans have become so poor that they cannot afford perambulators that cover both sunlight and camera flashlights. I believe we should be collecting some donations for that..I am ok with Aishwarya being fat. It is personal. But discomfort of child and changing trend in the way babies are being hidden is slightly out of that territory, dont you think?

Firstly the Indian news channels are more interested to peep into peoples bed room and see what is happening. They think that the stars do or have something special happening there. And to show or cover such things they will go to any extent. Secondly there is always a particular group of people who are interested in such news. They more concerned about others family related issues than there owns. I personally feel the news and entertainment channels should create a separate news channel to cover such bogus issues.
