My son's 4th grade. The subject matter in the 4th grade, I think is very difficult, and too much. The curriculum now, very heavy for elementary school children. I do not know if other parents feel the same as me or not. I do not know if in other countries, as well as implementing the same curriculum as Indonesia?

I don't know about everyone else but my daughter is in first grade science and she is already learning about the water cycle, evaporation and cloud formation. I did not learn about all of that until I was in about 5th or 6th grade, maybe even older than that! I was completely shocked by it. She is doing great with it, thank God but it sure did surprise me.

I am not surprised to hear that. I also find that today the subjects for the children are much more difficult than before. Even if we have checked our son's homework everyday. But sometimes there are still some mistakes I don't know what to say. You have to be quite careful to do the homework. The questions are so tricky.

hi sql-cell I am way past that m yself but I see these little 4th graders with carts to move their school books and I am
wondering what on earth they are teaching them that requires so
many heavy books? I think they are pushing the kids way too fast,"I am here in the US and I do not know about other countries for the fourth grade.
