I still remember my PE teacher have once asked a fat student to eat less dinner or skip it altogether. She said we don't need many calories in the evening and eating less facilitates good sleep .But she ate much breakfast and lunch to be full of energy in the day.
A student who studys English with me told me she never ate breakfast in order to lose weight. I'm so surprised because I would feel sick if I do not eat breakfast. How can she stick it?
We chinese say, a full breakfast, nice lunch, and light dinner.I would feel comfortable all the day if I did like this.
which meal you eat most or least? Do you think it's healthy?

I would say that I eat breakfast the least and dinner the most. It has been that way for a long time. It is all about how I feel. I may have an early lunch around 11:00 or 11:30 which can be considered brunch, snack throughout the day and end with a hearty dinner. I do not have any problem with when I eat. I won't starve myself. I go with how I feel. It is important to understand how and when food will benefit me most. It is healthy to satisfy hunger; and that is usually what I do.

I also agree to what you said. That's what all health professionals suggest.
I would also want that to be my eating habit. But usually, I eat a lot during dinner. Because that's the time I eat with my family. You know, the best time to eat is with your loved ones.

yeah, when dinner come, all my family is present so we always eat a lot during dinner because it create a good atmosphere when your loved ones are around.
I will go abroad to study soon. With no family aside,I may eat less for dinner.

I think that what you said about the amount you eat per meal is perfect. I usually skip breakfast. Most of the time I just have coffee. During dinner, if I feel eating a real meal, I will, otherwise, i just go up the room and take some sandwich.

In elementary to middle school I NEVER ate breakfast, never, ever, ever. I still got straight A's in school, and it didn't affect my mental or physical abilities...yet.
In high school I started feeling the impact. I had massive headaches, I got dizzy, and for the first time in my whole life I heard my stomach grumble. My mom always used to tell me to eat breakfast, but I never did.
So, at some point I learned that I needed to eat every one of my meals when I passed out on the steps at school and flipped down the stairs---gosh that was painful! I woke up confused in the emergency hospital. From that day on someone always had to supervise me to make sure I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner (this lasted for about a year and a half).
Yes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eating light is at night is a good thing also since you don't use a lot of energy when you sleep, but instead when you wake up in the morning. So, yes, we need to eat a full breakfast, nice lunch, and light dinner.

high school's study is much more hard than elementary and middle school. We'll need more energy to think over and over again.
And even in middle school,I have seen some girls who were weak in body passed out in the playground because they didn't eat breakfast.
Thank you for sharing your great story,Zskyla! You've made me gain a better understanding of the importance of breakfast^^

busy with your daughter all day? What a happy family!
I can't always do that, too. I eat a lot in the day but I still have a good appitite in the evening(my mother always makes better meals for dinner.)
But we should try our best to keep a healthy diet^^

As for me ,the past days i could remember is that my mom got up early every day and made delicious breakfast for me(i have a really good mom), so i never ever left a breakfast. I gradually grow a good habit of eating breakfast every day. At noon, I ate at school, but the food there wasn't delicious and i didn't eat very much, so i got starving in the afternoon. My parents knew that i didn't eat well at school, so they always cooked supper including fish, pork and chicken(it's easy to get fat this way). There is no doubt that i became heavier and heavier, and it's really hard to lose weight, as i say. So i consider, a good breakfast, a full lunch and a light dinner. And this healthy diet helped me a lot about losing weight.

Only my two youngest have breakfast the rest doesn't. For my youngest daughter (turned 7 years old yesterday) it's hard to have breakfast as well. She is not able to eat before 11 am. My son can skip it as well but has no problem to eat. Nobody in my family is hungry before 12 or even 1 pm. I assume our bio-ritme is different. We also don't need to eat that much or are unhealthy if it comes to that. I think it's wrong to eat if you are not hungry, just to eat because people say it's breakfast or dinner time. I would feel like a stuffed animal if I would eat all the amounts and times people say you should eat. I would also be about 40 pounds heavier.
I think the best thing is to have light to digest meals, to eat mostly warm food (it's better for the intestines) to drink and sleep enough. If everything (or even more) you eat ends up in the toilet you body is surely NOT needing all the food you ate.

interesting idea.
I'm always agonising when my family asked me to eat when I'm full. They always tell me it shows respect to others to eat with others at the right time.I'd like to eat when I feel hungry.
But in school, we can only eat from 11:50 to 12:30 and we go home after 5:00pm.I'll be too hungry if I do not eat breakfastT.T
Thanks for sharing your idea!

When i was in school, i used to rush in the mornings and not have breakfast at all. It is a bad habit because it affects us somehow or another. I used to gain weight and and my granny would should at me for not eating in the breakfast. I eat all meals today and I have made it a habit. It helps in keeping fit. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead

I won't discard my breakfast lest I have to be hungry for almost five hours^^
it's really important to me.or I won't be able to focus on anything in class.
