I was talking to my friend and she was saying how noone will hire me with the number of jobs I have. Now two are technical seasonal, and the other two I work certain days. I applied to Tim Hortons and said I could work 5am - 10am any day, Wed, Thurs, Fri 2pm - 12pm, and Saturday anytime also 10pm - 6am (I think thats a wide selection as many just want the day shift). Also, Walmart, Home Depot, Sobeys, and Zehrs for midnights I said anyday 10pm - 6am. Now if you look at my resume, I have worked 3 jobs for 6 - 7 years, and one being midnights for 8 years. So if they dont want to hire me because I work so many jobs, even after seeing my resume then so be it, Ill go somewhere where they will. She was just getting real nasty and negative. I told her, if they dont see it on my resume and think I cant work it so be it, I have done it, and willing to work it again. I started to add my cover letter going into more detail, and hoping once the job posting close I will hear something. I also applied to a job at the dump its temporary Saturdays but its $19 an hour.

You should be sending out a cover letter with your resumes, on the cover letter you tell them that you have been working for 8 years at one place and so on. People with cover letters get hired more often than people with just resumes.

Could it be because she has some envy of your capacity for work? I`m sure you will get the job you want. I don`t know why would anybody in its right mind say no to a hardworking person who has a good resume of working at sevral jobs along years. Your friend is not the kind of person I`d love to have as a friend.

i beg to differ, i think they will see you as a hard worker person and want to hire you. you have experience. of course there is a such thing as over qualified and such but if you tell them if you are serious about working there then thats all you have to do. just wait and see, don't let others steal your thunder or make you think you can't do this or that. she sounds like she wants to tear you down cause you have more job experience than her perhaps.
