Why is this guy popular? i just dont understand it at all. He cant sing , he cant act and he dresses like he's trying to be all gangster and tough with pants that sag down to rediculous levels.

I think that description fits many popular figures today, and not just him. Not onlysingers but politicians and maybe others too

Probably because he has a great pr-manager? If people hear a name they keep remembering it and kids might hope they get famous too? For the rest I can only agree with you. He is surely not a great singer or artist or entertainer. But as you see there is no need for it either since he makes money.

we are here Canada (he is Canadian and from a town about an hour away from where i live) and have wondered the same thing too. i have teenagers who don't really like him. i cannot believe that girls stalk his house (his mom and grandparents still live in the town). funny how there is no accounting for tastes.
