I just came from another discussion and I replied how WORDS bring energy and power to a receiver. WORDS we say always hurt us in a way or another BUT also it always makes us happy. WORDS are like medicine too that heals us when we are suffering and like fire that burns are more and ignites our anger.
There are places or countries in the world that can not express their opinion because they don't have the freedom to speak about their company, their society and the worst is about their government.
For a small scale, there are people who are tackless. They don't care what WORDS they utter as long as they express their thoughts. WORDS should be guarded and think many times before it should come out in us. WORDS we say reflects ourselves.
What do you think my friends?
I had been thinking about this.
Does it really bring a stronger NEGATIVE effect or also a POSITIVE effect?

Thanks in advance for sharing and have a great day!

I agree with you totally. For me words are very important, so much that I have become a writer in my native language. Words are the means to express our ideas and our thoughts. But I also agree that that power can be positive or negative, depending on how you use it. When they are used to hurt someone, they can inplict as much pain as a beating.

Words can mean a lot. That would depend on how it was said and how it was understood by a person.

You're right. They mean a lot and if not properly related, they could mean negative or positive to the people reading or listening to them. I agree that it also depends on the people's reaction.

Words are very powerful. They are used to convey meaning. When we want to express ourselves as ourselves our words play a big part in that. In the United States of America, where we have freedom of speech, one must choose his or her words carefully. Words are important to understand in order to promote healthy communication. Words are such an important part of American life that if one is heard using them in an adverse way, it can tarnish, damage or even destroy one's image. In the case that this occurs, one usually has to use words to counteract any negative feelings. This is sometimes referred to as "damage control".

Good evening dear leateagee , frankly this is more of a philosofical discussion , and honestly i am not that smart or cuning , so dont expect a philosofical answer .
Me , personally , i like to have a nice vocabulary plus also some knowledge to know how to use my vocabulary , i do agree that the words we say cann so very easilly move a person or a mass of people especially if knowing how to use your words and your audience state of mind , if you want to move people , but words also have sometimes power to give hope and much more.
I'd really wish i could develop more on this , but it will surely be for another day , hence id would take me more the a day to organize all that i'd like to say on this topic.
I wish you a great evening dear Leateagee.

I think words are just like any other thing in the world: in itself it isn't harmful or deadly. But when used the wrong way, it can hurt, it can damage, it can even kill. Many of us here are privileged to live in a place where words can be freely expressed, where freedom of speech is a right. But we must always take into mind that for every privilege, there's always a corresponding responsibility. We are responsible for our own words. Because once these left our mouth, it is going to be so hard to take them back. We cannot unhear what we heard, unsaid what we said, or unhurt those who we have hurt with our words.

Words can change lives. It can be a positive change or a negative change. Depending on the emotion that goes along with words. And how much conviction the receiver has on the words. Think about it like this, words were thoughts to begin with and thoughts could be an entity--an energy that you pass along through words. It's a powerful matter that can change the host and the people around the host and possibly the world. People from rags to riches' asset to become rich is not money but the thoughts they input to themselves. If they think and believe that they can do it, they can. If they give up, they lose.
So how great is its power? I don't know. But in terms of potential, it's infinite.
Have a nice day and Happy MyLotting!

I agree with you, sis.Words are extremely powerful. So much so that they can work wonders.I have experienced it in my own life.My elder step brothers used to take pleasure in hurting me and my mother with their vitriolic words that wold make us utterly depressed. Each second in our life was a struggle and we did not know how to live.My mother used to read the Ramayana everyday and chant God's name in the hope that one day He would help us.And he really helped us.We came across an army man.He was a stranger to us,but I don't know how he touched my mother's feet and accompanied us to the market where we were going. We began talking. He told us that he was a commando. And then he looked at me and said,'Our commanders teach us one thing. They say to us,when the going gets tough, the tough get going.'Then he added,'Imagine you are a commando. Now the going has got tough for you,but you are tough. So refuse to stop.Get going.Refuse to surrender. And believe me,all will be well.God will help you.'His words changed me altogether. Now I am not dependent on my brothers. They now don't have courage to hurt us.Of course,my mom is no more with me,but she was extremely delighted to see this positive change in me and so she took her last breath peacefully.
The miracle was done by words and words only. The young commando's words changed me for ever.
