I had not seen this before. My hubby and his brother are born in the same year but are not twins. .. sounds funny yeah? my hubby is born in January and that time his father had come down from Doha where he used to work. So mother in law conceived again.... so the brother is born in December. Have you heard of such situations before??????

I have friend and acquaintances who've had children a year or less apart from one another, brothers in fact.
Now this is a bit diferent but my sister and my cousin were born on the same day, a year apart. My sister came first, and then my aunt, my mother's sister, had her baby a year later on the same day. They were close growing up because of this, though my sister did kind of resent my cousin for being born the same day she was.

that's interesting too. I and my cousin are one day apart. my aunty was having pain and they took her to hospital and my mom went to see her and there she also started getting pain. Finally they both delivered.... Well i am my cousin also resemble each other kinda. so I can understand what you mean. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

It could happen to a mother to give birth to two children in the same year, with one born at the beginning of the year and the other at the end of the year if the mother so happens to get pregnant once the first child is born. Ten months is quite enough for two kids to be born within one year. Thanks for the discussion, riyauro.

Hehhehe....really funny but this is possible with in a year second child. I heard after marriage not complete the anniversary but born the child means with in a year born child.

I've heard a few instances of such case. Some wives don't realize that women can get pregnant as early as a few weeks after giving birth. The common misconception is that they would think they are menstruating, when it's still bleeding from the uterus.

Hi Riyauro!
That is possible. Some girls can be pregnant 2 or 3 months after giving birth. There are many cases that elder sibling is only 11 months old to their younger sibling. We just don't notice it because the year of birth are different, so we assume that they are 1 year apart. It just so happened that your hubby was born in January and 11 months after her younger brother came. Since we have 12 months in a year they were born in the same year.
I think that's cool!

Hi!
It is interesting that your hubby and your brother in law were born in same year. It means their age is similar and it might be difficult to point out who is elder at a first glance.
I have not seen the similar case in my immediate family.

Yes I have known of same situation as yours. My cousin gave birth to her first child in February and the second was in December. However, my other cousin also has another situation. Her daughter-in-law gave birth to twin boys. But they were not born in the same day. The younger twin was born 3 days after thru caesarian section.

Hi,
Yes, really it sounds funny. I never heard of such situations. It is very interesting that two babies in one year and not twins. I always wonder how the parents of twins take care of their children.

I've come across it once. When I was at school, more years ago than I care to remember, there were two girls who were born the same year but were sisters, yet not twins. Similarly to your hubby and his brother, one was born in January and the other in November. Their mother must have got pregnant very, very soon after giving birth to the first daughter.

that would be cutting it close. could have happened with my first 2 kids if it had been january birth first. my daughter was born 12 days before son turned a year old. so, for 12 days they are the same age.
