Do you find your reading more certain times of the year like me? I read more on rainy days and really hot days, so the weather affects when I'm reading. The last couple of years I have read several authors that are new to me like Suzanne Collins. Reading is a great hobby where you can learn so much in a book. Presently, I am reading Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. This is the last book in the series. Have you read it?

When I was still a student, I find that I -needed- to read during the summer. :) I enjoy being in a different world when I have time to spare and reading does the trick for me. :D I have read Mockingjay and I find it a good ending to the hunger games series... :) some say it's a little anti-climactic, but for me, it did the whole series justice. enjoy your latest read!

Thanks for the comment about the book. I like series to wrap up and am close to the end now. Its always good to have some kind of conclusion and usually I'm happy with them.

I would recommend Public Secrets. Its an older book, but I couldn't put it down. Recently, read it again, as I enjoyed it so much.

i have never thought that the weather could actually affect our reading habits. i have never been aware of those moments. i just read and read no matter what the weather is. i appreciate your recommendation about collins. i will see her books if they suit my taste of reading time.

Thanks for posting. I just thought it was odd how much I'm reading in the hottest summer we have had in this area just to hot for outside activities. I can't remember the last time an entire series was finished by me in the summer.

I love reading, but I do know that I don't always spend as much time as I might like to on it. I don't usually read all that much during the summer, because I prefer to spend my spare time doing the garden and things like that because I can't do them in the winter really because it is too cold. Now that the nights are getting longer, I am spending a lot more time reading because it is one of the only things that I am able to do that doesn't involve having to go outside. I love being able to lose myself in a book and then looking at the clock to find that hours have gone by without me even realising it.

I read so much several times this week that my husband asked if I was planning to sleep. Its good to be able to learn about other places in a book. Thanks for posting.

The weather certainly effects how much I read. My child and I are very active, but I limit the amount of outdoor time when it is really cold or extremely hot. We do a lot more reading on those days. We will both sit on the couch. She will look at the pictures and make up stories while I get a few chapters read.
