when we find a serious trouble in our body, we often don't come to believe it easily. and we may end up going to different doctors either to find a solution or to hope that the first diagnosis is not true. but in the first place, how much do you trust your physician?

It is not allowed to shop for a doctor. You have to take the doctor who lives the closest to you and who is still accepting patients. You are also not allowed to go to the hospital (first aid) without counceling your doctor first (for that you have to call to make an appointment). If you need a specialist the doctor will find one for you too in the hospital nearest by. Also we can only go if we have a health insurance. This is the law. If you don't pay for one they won't help you. If you go to hospital you need to make a hospital card first, show your ID and they make a picture of you as well. You can ask for a second opinion but you have to pay for that. If you are still not satisfied you have a huge problem and better take a lawyer.

i believe this is happening in the US or other countries of the same healthcare system. i hope it happens everywhere. in some countries, it's very common. but of course, patients usually spend much for this doctor and hospital shopping, if i may call it that way.

I think if I have the money and time, I might. But since I am trying to be practical without sacrificing the proper healthcare that I need, I think I would go for someone that the family has been trusting the health of everyone. If we need some other specialist, we get recommendations from them. So far, we only had one doctor that they recommended who we didn't trust enough to continue the treatments with. But so far, that's how we roll.
