Heard of such word? In the course of my work, I happen to read it in the application form for the ID or pass in our area. The form was asking for the civil status. I understand that these people are not all professionals, there are laborers and other sorts of works. He may have spelled it incorrectly as it should be married, but in one point it is justifiable. Married people should also be merry in their relationship. It should always be accompanied with happiness and love. And should be only be bounded with legal papers/documents or the marriage certificate.
Would you agree with me folks?

Well, you might have a point. But the word married is derived from the word "marriage" that means is a social union or legal contract between people called spouses that creates kinship. They could be merry or happy, as you put it. But what the office wants to know is your civil status is life and not how you feel.
