I am scared..literally...
We already have a lot of crimes against elderly...
So when the elderly family member loses the spouse..we can presume the remaining partner was soooooooooo depressed that he or she committed suicide..right?
It helps to close police files far more easily and get the focus on thefts in politicians homes anyway..
It also helps children or relatives to inherit those monies which had the elderly lasted would have been spent on medications and travel perhaps. They can now buy larger homes, and with better floorings and better woodwork.
It also helps the thief to share the booty with the policeman on duty and escape..
But wait a minute, it can also be good for those youngsters who have siblings ailing with serious ailment and parents are spending fortune to keep that helpless one alive. Now, isn't that a waste of money...
Of course, I agree it is legal..I just gave the reasons..you are not convinced?

What a morbid thought Vandana. What ever did you eat (or should I say inhale?) before putting up this topic?
I have nothing to say!

Hi vandana
I am always convinced... Indian constitution and the law is imported from other nations and we have no "originality" ever.
Who cares for those who want to leave... we even dont care about those who want to stay
