The First Semi Final of the T20 World Cup 2012 will be played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka today 04 October 2012 at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo Sri Lanka. The match is scheduled to begin at 19:00 local time (13:30 GMT). Pakistan qualified for the semi finals after an impressive victory of 32 runs from Australia last Tuesday. Yes, it is the first semi final of the world cup. I think Pakistan start as the favorites in this one as they have a better balance in their team with good batsmen and bowlers. Sri Lanka on the other hand are a bit top heavy with their batting with their top three batsmen holding the key to their scores. Cheers! Ram

Sri Lanka has played really well throughout the tournament. and is still favorite to win the world cup. But Sri Lankan team has to improve its fielding to avoid the misfield and drop of catches.

In my view Sri Lanka is now all balanced team not only to win this match but all the coming matches. Pakistan's confidence may be increased by the win over Australia, but Sri Lankan team spirit as a whole is already very high.

Sri Lanka has won the match despite of no. of misfield and drop catches. Pakistani Bowleres really did well by limiting Sri Lanka to just 139 that was not a big score to chase. But unfortunately and as usual, batsmen were not able to chase such an easy target.

hello, this will be a big match. the first semi final in this twenty twenty world cup. its very unfortunate for me that pakistan is in semi finals instead of india but still i will be watching this match. i really hope sri lanka wins this match as they are a great team and specially they are playing really well in this tournament. they have some great players like jayawardene and sangakkara and dilshaan and also malinga is in great form. so i hope they can win this match. pakistan are also good and they should not be taken lightly.
