I have always tried to write a song since I learned proper usage of words, and I discovered that I can sing ^^ La lala lala. Since songs are mostly written in a poem like manner, I manage to write songs about life. When I was 10, the lyrics started from stories about nature, life and my family. When I turned a teen, obviously it consist of words about love and friends.
So have you tried making one on your own??

At first,, it was very hard for me to share it.. But it helped me a lot to know where I should focus more on improving. It makes me happy when someone likes it,, It makes me much more happy if someone did not, because I learn from what they have to say about my songs ^.^

Welcome to myLot, Adrians! No, I haven't tried to make a song of my own. Like, never. I think it's hard. But as a literary writer on my high school, I make poems. Poems that don't really rhyme but they find funny. Okay so according to your post, you made it look like an everyday thing, like it's natural to you. Wow. That's called a talent I think. And you can sing? That's another wow. Anyway, keep that up. Practice always adrians. And whenever you perform, remember that practice doesn't make perfect. There's something missing on that quotation. It's "perfect practice makes perfect." :)

I Jane tried several times and way back in high schOol, we have a school activity which we have to write the lyrics and make a tune out of it.. It's is difficult to make a song without a tune in mind.. When you are to write the lyrics and there will tune it out..

one thing you can do if you dont have a tune in mind yet is to gather data regarding to what song you are writing, I mean for example you can write it as scratch.. anything that comes to your mind related to your song,, it doesn't matter first if it ryhmes or not.. gather thoughts. same thoughts that would enlighten the KEY words for your song,, .. If you have many sentences build,, try making a story with it,, then.. edit edit edit .. eventually,, rhymes comes naturally to you.

I've tried it before. Because I'm an aspiring composer way back then. And I spend my spare time in writing songs. :)

I love writing songs. Sometimes words come first instead of melodies and other times the other way around. I have been blessed with awesome opportunity to share songs with friends and family. One of the gifts that i will never trade for anything in the world

Yes, I've been writing songs since I was a little boy. I used to charge my brother money to hear me sing them. As a teenager I started writing songs on the guitar; they were pretty rough. But I'm quite a good songwriter now I'd say. I have songs on the internet; at My Space and You Tube, mostly only rough recordings, but they're there. I've not seriously written a song for about ten years now; I'm not sure why. I've been doing other things. But I'd like to get back to it.

I write my own music a lot, and I have done so ever since I was relatively young. I find that it is a wonderful way to be able to express your feelings when you don't know what to do about anything else. One of the things that I like to do is write music when I am annoyed with someone, as I think that it is much better to do things like this when I am annoyed rather than have a big argument with them. It has saved a lot of friendships in the past, although I am not sure that they would be happy if they could ever read the songs that I wrote about them.

During my teenage years, I was able to write some songs, I was inspired on those days because I have a group who also compose songs.. But after college, i was focus on work, maybe I can try it again, during my free time.I'll try to compose for my girlfriend.. :) Thanks for this discussion, it has reminded me..
