My baby is now 6 month old going to 7 month old this coming October 15, 2012. I have not talked to my pediatrician yet regarding the milk of my baby. I've seen on the supermarket that there is milk for 0 to 6 month old and 6 to 12 month old. I'm wondering if I could change the milk immediately to the second stage milk or do I have change it little by little. I'm afraid of what could happen if I do so. Baby is sensitive so I have to consider everything.

Hi jencai, if you have time you can visit and talked to you pediatrician about it, so that she/he can give you a great advice. I am not yet a mom but when i took care my niece when she reached 7 months i change her milk little by little and bought some sachet powder milks to try which one was good for her. Good thing i found one and she became more healthy and stronger.

I am not sure if I read this from the can of a 6-12 formula or from the internet... but it said that if you are trying to switch milk, you should feed the new formula during daytime. and should do it like introducing it slowly to your baby... like 1 feeding for the first 3-5 days, the rest is the 0-6 that you are currently using... then make it 2 on the next set... until you can see that your baby has no any negative reactions to the new formula, you can switch to it completely. but since you've mentioned that your baby is so sensitive, better see your pediatrician to avoid complications... good luck to your baby.

Hi..The best thing to do is to talk to your baby's pediatrician..A baby's stomach is different from the early stages..They require a lot more care and consideration.
I switched my baby's formula from the brand the hospital gives you to Enfamil or Enfalac.. My baby adjusted to switching formulas fine. i just make sure that his age aligns to the suggested age in formulas..
