Does anyone here today still make it his goal to laugh at least once in a day? What are things you have to do to make your day complete and at the same time gives you joy?

I dont have a goal to laugh at least once a day but definitely I have a goal to make at least one face smile every day. I have set this goal for me ever since I fell ill and was on the bed for 8 long months in 2008. I dont know how much I succeed per day but definitely I try my best here at mylot via my responses and discussions

That sounds like a very nice goal and definitely it made me smile. To know there are people who are like that, wow. I hope you also get lots of reasons to smile.

Dear Blueangelwrites, thanks for the nice topic of discussion.I feel laughing is an involuntary process of expressing our joy or happyness for a moment of time to keep ourselves and our surroundings happy. For that we need not plan or set a goal. It comes all by itself very naturally. When ever we see some thing going funny around us we tend to end up with laughing. I am sure any social person really need not set a goal to laugh. He or she is bound tolaugh atleast few times a day for some or other reason as life is full of fun.
I laugh a lot and try to make others to laugh like me by allpossible ways . But I am always careful not to laugh at others. That is very rude thing to do. Instead I often make my self a scape goat so that others enjoy it. In fact being a Ventriloquist and Cartoonist I have got good sense of humour and today having seen this World for more than 50 years I understand that people laugh very easily at others. While staging shows of Ventriloquism, the master hardly keeps any punch line for himself, but all punch lines are given to the Dummy. This makes the Ventriloquist to look like a big fool infront of the Dummy and he becomes a target to end up as the laughing stock for the audience attending the show.
In fact laughig is very good for health as it keeps our body hormones in balance. The harmful harmones are being neutralized and feel good hormones start circulating in the body once we start laughing, thus leaving us in a better state of mood. The feel good attitude keeps our mental frame positive and we develop to think in an optimisticway in our life.
There is no set time for laughing.one must laugh out with his/her open heart when ever he/she gets an opportunity to do so. Of coure in formal occassions we may have to have some control on overselves but in informal occassions I suggest every one to laugh with an open heart as 'The laughter after all is the best Medicine' which is free and can be obtained easily without much of efforts!.
Don't feel shy and be selective in laughing if you are at an odd place. I have seen people laughing loudly on their mobile phones while taking a leak at the public toilets. Though that is a public place I don't see any reason why we shouldn't use it if we get a laughter there? Aren't we laughing at a movie theatre with our open heart when we are finding somethig funny in the movie with others?
In conclusion , I feel laughter is a natural process and we should always try to explore the opportunities in our life to have one at any given time at any given place to keep ourselves and others surrounding us happy ! Remember laughter is too contagious and infectious in natire! We can spread his very fast to make the tense atmosphere into an easy one to make our stressed out lives merrier and enjoyable! Once again thanks for the topic dear friend! I enjoyed participating in it!

Yes we must try not to laugh at the expense of others. It's very hurtful and rude. Wow, you're a ventriloquist. To me that's an amazing talent. I agree that true laughter is done with an open heart. It is contagious. If you come by a place where there is laughter, chances are you also end up laughing heartily.

Well thanks a ton for the lovely discussion. Yes of course it is rightly said that laughter is the best medicine and we should all laugh to make ourselves cheerful and happy at the same time. Well i do not have any strategy to laugh at least once in a day but i make it a point to laugh whenever it is possible to and also make others laugh and make them feel comfortable in my company. Spending quality time with my friends and parents makes me joyous and happy and gets a smile on my face.
What say?

I agree that to spend time with people you love and care for, particularly for you, your family gets you into an environment where it's possible to share laughter.

Well, that's a plan. It's good to have a healthy dose of conversations with your bf because like you said, he makes you laugh all the time. For me, I enjoy reading and watching movies that make me laugh so, I give it time everyday to make my day complete.

I don't make it a goal but I have several occasions that make me laugh every single day. It is said that to remain healthy one needs to enjoy what one does no matter how boring that activity could be. Doing anything grudgingly is sure to create health issues. Whatever I do I do it willingly as I have it in me to appreciate the end results of what I do even as simple an activity as setting my dining table!
