I think because of teh acidic property of the soda, it made it possible to remove stains and rusts.

Hi Asdomencil,
Thanks for the response, you may be right that the Coco-cola is available here a quarter dollar is bottle and half dollar is the tin. When compare with the other stain removers the coco-cola is cheap so hats off to the inventor who invent all these uses by coco-cola, so people have brains have a nice day.

I used it to clean the clips that hold batteries in more then one appliance after a battery has stayed in too long and leaked and corroded the wires it works like a charm. I do know that if you place a chunk of watermelon in a cup of coca cola it will dissolve and turn liquid, is that a weird use? It is interesting how colas and other soft drinks were able to travel the world.

I don't think it can dissolve other things it has to do with watermelons and how it is made. Other fruits don't dissolve as far as I know. The Thumsup doesn't exist here but there are other brands of cola here. Cola is one of those thing that is really great chilled in summer, in winter I prefer other drinks though.

Hi Leeloo,
Thanks for the response, so coco-cola dissolve any thing just like watermelon. So the things in our stomach also dissolve by drinking coco-cola it is not true I think. But in I India more one more drink of cola is there that is "Thumsup" I do not know this may be marketed in your place or not. Now a days I too does not prefer to drink cola regularly, have a nice day.

OMG if coco-cola does all that, could you imagine what its doing to your insides. That is one of many reasons why I don't drink that or pepsi. When a liquid can clean a coin or remove grease stains that is not good for you. Along with the sugar intake no way would I buy this product. I don't drink soda due to the sugar but I also don't like coco-cola, it just doesn't taste good to me.

Hi Lelin,
Thanks for the response, the meaning that if the coco-cola remove grease stain of a coin so it will remove the grease or unwanted things from our stomach. If you fear to drink any thing like this you never taste any thing in the world. Nothing will happen I have consumed several coco-colas what happened to me still I am alive at the age of 61 also, have a nice day.

I have tasted coco-cola and don't like it at all. I have also tasted Pepsi and love it but choose not to drink it because its really not good for you. There is just to much sugar in soda. Plus if the soda can get rid of grease I heard it is capable of eating a hole in your stomach. I'm 55 years old and choose to eat as healthy as I can so I can live alot longer. Have a great weekend!

hi yugasini,
these are very good tips you mentioned. i didnt even know it would remove stains from fabric. i even thought that it would stain the cloth. now learned that it is the other way around. do you mean even on a white fabric? well, i will try.
i got this curtain where there is something like rust in it.
i enjoy coke when i get to eat something fatty. not always though. do it occasionally. i just think something in moderation would not hurt.

Hi Ann,
Thanks for the response, yes I too does not about these unusual uses with coco-cola. But the coco-cola and the stain remover in the market are the same price I think, but I do not know the coco-cola can be used with cool or without cool. You now try with coco-cola to remove the rust on the curtains, nothing will happen if you drink a coke a day have a nice day.

Thanks for sharing that yugasini! I had learned something new! =) Thank you. I soak my old coin collection to soda too.
That is one of the reasons why I avoid soda. I think it will have a bad effect on my health. But I still drink Cola, not too much though. Anyway, anything that is excessive isn't good, right?

Ten years back I too was drinking coco-cola/thumsup/pepsi all are equal in taste, but now days I am not consuming much the drink once in week only, have a nice day.

Here are some claims which have been made for Coca-cola (as an argument for not drinking it). While some things may work, many of them are tommy-rot. It makes for entertaining and educational reading, however: http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/acid.asp
You may find it entertaining to see what else Snopes has collected about Coke (most of it false information and some of it hilarious): http://search.atomz.com/search/?sp-q=coca-cola&x=23&y=9&sp-a=00062d45-sp00000000&sp-advanced=1&sp-p=all&sp-w-control=1&sp-w=alike&sp-date-range=-1&sp-x=any&sp-c=100&sp-m=1&sp-s=0

Sreedhar, that is very useful information, at times coca cola goes flat if left for sometime and it can be pout into use in the way you have mentioned.I wonder if it cleans out our insides similarly ? and how safe is it for consumption? I am just joking since lime too has similar qualities and can be used for cleaning purposes , also excellent foe health - all the best and enjoy your evening

Hi Kiran Madam,
Thanks for the response, there are more unusual benefits with coco-cola I have not written all those benefits. If take one coco-cola daily will not cause any thing, if we consume more drinks then it is danger. Liqueur also consumed only 60 ml daily will give good health, but the dose increases the danger also increases just like that have a nice day.

Hi Trruk,
Thanks for the response, thanks for the information. I think this use also noted or not in the list of uses, there I have read lot of uses of coco-cola in the news. But I have mentioned only some, it is better to invent more uses by coco-cola drink. What about Thumsup and Pepsi drink, I think all are cola drinks must have the same similarities in their contents or not?

i know why you are telling this. soft drinks like coca cola, pepsi they can eat away a man's teeth and are harmful for general health. We can drink occasionally say once in a month and not on a regular basis.

With its effectiveness in cleaning dirt and removing grease, what will happen if anyone actually DRINK it? Will it clean up our stomach and intestines? Why is Coca-cola still allowed to be sold as a drink? It should be displayed in the cleaning or poison section of the supermarket. We may even need a prescription to buy it.

Hi Sishy,
Thanks for the response, I have not heard or read about this in news about the explosion. What ever thing we have to use thing for the use not for explosion like that, so utilise the opportunities given by the use of coco-cola as mentioned above in my discussion and if there is more uses utilize those also have a nice day.

Here in mexico a plummer will tell you to use a can of coca cola to try and unclog a kitchen sink. Once I called one, and he couldnt come for 5 or 6 hours. He told me about the coke. I did it, and to my surprise it worked. he said there is so much gas and other bad things in coca cola thats why it works on some drains. Glad to know I dont drink cokes.

Now a days in our place Coco-cola, Thumsup and Pepsi also available as cola drinks. Once upon a time a drink Dixicola also available but now it is not in the market
