Had the flu shot yesterday....now I feel sick

I know they say sometimes you might feel sick after getting the flu shot but I have never had that reaction until this year. I had the flu shot yesterday and woke up in the night with runny nose and headache. Anyone experience this and if so does it go away quickly? Is it contagious like the normal flu or is this different?

i am a physician and dont worry it is normal just take any analgesics for headache and running nose dont worry about it and within 2 days maximum these symptoms will disappear

Yes, I got the Flu shot almost 3 weeks ago myself and within like 4 days I had a headache that was non stop, and felt horrible for a little over 2 days. So this could be a side effect that some people experience when getting this, but from what I have seen and heard, a lot better than those who actually really end up getting a case of the Full blown flu.

I have seen many people here having problems after having the flu shot. That`s why I decided several years ago not to have it. Everyone says I`m primitive, specially since in my country these flu shots are free for people from a certain age on. But I never have even a cold, so it hasn`t been worth it to use it.

Normally flu is different types and also it will behave in different manner.i think have some steam to get rid of this flu.

i actually have heard of the same situation as you have. but it was my friend's 7-yr old son. after having a flu shot, he also had fever. i think some people really have that kind of reaction. but it's just different because you only have felt it now. better visit your doctor to have peace of mind. get well!
