Contratulations in your new position. It sounds like you are happy. You will be a good asset there with that attitude. I have no suggestion but you will do well.

Hi krizzy! The most important thing for you to consider is the schedule. You have to adopt yourself to the new situation when you have to work at night and sleep at daytime. About the work, it can be learned for as long as you have the patience and the courage to do it. Good luck and congratulations!

I have no experience working at a call center, but I've been with the BPO industry, under which call centers blong to, for almost 8 years now. I've done graveyard shifts, regular shifts, and even the afternoon to late-night shifts. But I've heard from my call center friends as well as my colleagues who had been call center employees that these jobs, like any other job, has their ups and downs. My advise is to keep your self physically fit - a poor health would affect your thinking, your disposition, your moods, well, your productivity in general, which are things you need in this industry.

Working in a call centre industry is really difficult. You need to find something about about your work that will motivates you to come in every scheduled shift. It is really hard specially if you are on a night shift and there are a lot of calls (no avail time). What I can advise is to learn to love your work. Think positively. But remember, a Call Centre is like love, there is one that is compatible for you. If you think that this will not work for you, there are a lot of Call Centres out there where you can really be happy. Imagine, I have been to 4 Centres before I found that Call Centre where I can consider home.

Hi,
Call centers are great jobs. Just be careful to balance your schedule especially when you are assigned to the "graveyard shift'" the time when we are normally asleep at night. But it does happen, and if you can't adjust to it, you may suffer a myriad illness from lowered resistance due to lack of sleep. If you are a night owl type, then no problem there. You can always catch up on sleep during daytime. Some people can't do it, its really the biggest challenge in call center industry, the impossible hours of work.

I am not working in a call center, but I have lots of experiences calling in one. And the one thing that I don't like the most as a customer is when the agent that I am talking to apologizes too much and have very little knowledge of the product. Also, the ones who talk in circles. Just go straight to the point.
Hope this helps!

Working in a call center can be so complex, as there are different issues and things you learn to deal with every chance you get. This also varies each place you might go as to what will be required and what type of job you will be doing. I know mine is easier than a lot.
But now that you have been doing this for a while, I am hoping everything is going good for you. There are many things you can learn from a job like this, and wishing you always the Best.

Well, I have not worked in any call center but I think what is important there is that you should be familiar with your product or whatever it is that you are assigned to do. You actually represent the company so commonly costumer a will contact you not only for standard inquiries but for complaints as well. There are people who are really to much which would make you feel as if you are the one that is at fault. So learn to adjust and stay cool under pressure. Best of luck to you!

Well what you have to do is know you're product so that you'd be able to assist all your customers with their questions and queries. Treat your customers the way you wanted to be treated had you been in the same position as theirs. And most importantly, practice patience. you'll need a mile of patience in that kind of job.
