What has happened to democracy in the US ? It strikes me oil is boss, Elenor Fairchild is arrested for trespass on her own ranch. Why ? apparently for trying to stop the passage of an oil pipeline across her land. This pipeline is supposed to deliver oil from Canada to Mexico to be exported not for the use of Americans.
When Romney had his first Face to Face with Obama he pointed out that he is pro North America not America. Listen to the words. Please be sure you vote for the right person in your forthcoming elections.

Yes, I am voting for the right person. One who has actually worked, cared for people and will get the economy going again. President Romney. Eleanor Fairchild is a hypocrite who lived off of the oil industry for years.

Careful, he's not the president. He is GOVERNOR Romney. President OBAMA is the only person that has that title at this point and the same person that I am sure will continue to carry that title for another 4 years. I am officially done listening to anything that GOVERNOR Romney has to say. I turn the volume on my TV down everytime he has anything to say. The next time that I hear his voice, it will be at his concession speech, when he continues to hold his GOVERNOR title.

PRESIDENT ROMNEY. Ovomit should be IMPEACHED and has committed treason more than once. If he wants to say he killed Bin Laden, then he needs to admit he murdered Ambassador Stevens.

Once again, Romney is NOT the president. Obama is. Whether you like it, agree with it, or not, President Obama is our country's leader. Not Governor Romney. Are you a female? Have you done your research on this issue? I hope that you make 6 figures a year because if not you're screwed! Smh....#TeamPRESIDENTObama

It isn't, "Who rules America?" so much as "What rules America?" And the answer to that is Money. Money rules this country. It is what controls everything, and most of us have become prey to it. Money is the true ruler of this country.

Regarding oil, the US can be self sufficient, there is no reason to depend on oil coming from the middle east. I would rather get our oil from Canada.
Why when Romney refers to North America, it bothers you. But when Obama says “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

No but preferably, we don't have rush as fast as possible into decline, especially as there are lots of things waiting in the wings for the full u.s. decline, which btw is the father of Obama's dream, a dream Obama himself says he shares. But making the world equal in poverty with 3rd world when we know how to be productive (resources and jobs) will not help anyone! The movie 2016, which doesn't say anything bad about President Obama, shows us the differences in the vision of his father, him and many others with the traditional usa vision, and how much of the decline vision has been accomplished thus far. Every person of the world should watch this if available.

I am afraid I know nothing of the film 2016 but it seems that U.S. industry might have a bearing on the decline of America by failing to invest internally. Jobs are a key to wealth as when residents have wealth they have money to spend firstly on taxes and then hopefully on products made in the U.S.

i fear it does not matter if you vote for either candidate, or no candidate. the illusion of choice is given to us, to make us think we have a choice. we dont. everything is pre-arranged. they are both heads of the same monster. this realization has become crystal clear to me over the past few years.

If money talks then purhaps China does. lol Yes, listen to the words. Obama isn't good either. His new health care isn't going to help the entire people. That is what democracy should be. The will of the people and what is best for all the people. Not just afew. Oil isn't the only thing going on here.

American, Mexican, Canadian, Brazilian, Argentino, Peruvian, etc.. people rule America. Arrested for trespass on her own land, that is quite interesting, there is more to the story other than what's told by the Brit. Press, may be they don't want you to know any more than they want you to read.
It doesn't matter he is pro-North America or pro-South America as long as he can turn the economy around and have a workable economy policy in place that steer US economy into the right direction and make it grow, balance the budget instead of excessive spending, bring down the skyrocketing foreign debt, reduce current account deficit, bring down unemployment rate, end the war, and take care of other major national issues, and do whatever he promises to do after got elected, then he is the man suitable for the presidential office.

It is unfortunate that the lived television debate only allow American people hear the plan of two candidates, not all the candidates running for the presidential election. The media outlets only want America listen to voices of two major power crazy political party of their choice instead of the voices of all participating political party and eligible candidates. I think neither candidate is able to do much to reverse the huge damages done to our economy realistically other than making feel good political campaign promises and on paper optimistic election sound bites.

I highly doubt it. It's been years and years and several presidents passed still we are struggling with this recession not only Americans but other country who is allied to the United States that has treaty with it. It's impossible to "turn the table" easily just like that as there are so many circumstances that needs to be considered, the pros and cons. Deliberate debate from left to right just to get things done.

What makes you think that, just because he says he will do it, that it will really get done? You think he can undo decades of mistakes in 4 years?
Do you know how you can tell if a person is a politician? His lips are moving, but he isn't saying anything.

I didn't vote. Nevermind that that's because I didn't want to walk all the way to the voting-place to find out I couldn't vote because (although I have a 'voter ID' and so might've been able to vote) I don't have a state-licensed ID; I didn't vote because I'm not gonna like the way it is no matter WHO they inaugurate that next January (probably not even if it's ME, Jason Hubbard 2016!).
The 'rulership' of America is a three-branch government, but not necessarily the 'ones we learn about in school' (the Legislative, Executive & Judgmental branches peopled by political officials ).
The three-branches I'm talking about are The Executives (thinkers in the towers deciding what ought to be done), The Messengers (the media-teams who report what we thinkers say to the rest of the world) & The Doers (the majority of the public).
You and I and all the other myLotters are a small part of The Executives (or The Messengers, as--while we're still a 'small' part of The Executives--we have to concentrate on turning into a bigger part by telling others what we think).
MOST of us go out and fulfill our duties as The Doers when we go out and provide a service in order to receive some money in order to pay that money in order to receive other services in order to better provide a service in order to ... keep the world spinnin`. There we see to it that The Executives commands passed to us by The Messengers are followed as fully as is profitable to US

Sounds like the politics of the hive but with no Queen. Thanks for catching up still boils down to the fact that the flow of money rules and when that flows halts all hell breaks lose. If we as individuals or governments owe money it becomes more expensive to live.

No, the ones who rule America are the ones living the life we all want to live and who also stay popular by staying at the top of the 'Paparazzi'-charts (i.e. those who--whatever their contributions to the arts and the culture of the world--have plenty of face-time on the top magazines, television-networks, Internet-websites & even books).
And I don't think I'm talking about 'the ones whose names we know' (actors, actresses, musicians, models & the like), but more like 'the ones who MADE (sired? ) the ones we know' (the producers, the broadcasters)---the CEOs of NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, HBO & MTV, the owners of UNIVERSAL etc., etc. and so-forth.
Although Lady Gaga has a good shot at the crown!

Romney is not going to win this election. He said himself that at least 47% of Americans are not going to vote for him. If he thinks that he is going to get the other 53% he is SORELY mistaken. There was a chart that showed the un-likability of presidential candidates all the way back to the 1970's and no one has been as unliked nationally as Mitt Romney. He has little more than a snow ball's chance in hell of winning this election. I am pulling for Obama all day!!!

Hi nice to hear from someone from Belgium and this appears to be the impression most people outside of America has. I just thought that when a person can be ridden roughshod
over by the oil companies that it might be whoever puts their money into the government and it might be the case else where as well.
