I feel sad for Leny's Children

is was a last minute decision. i think before she made her decision to run for the congress, i think that she had spoken to her children. there is nothing wrong that she accepted the invitation. I think the people in her place need her. considering her family time, they might understand it for sure.

nothing much we can do friend, that's her decision, at least she would do a better job than movie stars and other odd celebrities, I hope

Hi LK :) I'd prefer if she would just go for the judicial court position too, but if her decision to finally run is much better for the people she wants to serve then so be it. Otherwise it's really sad if she was just influenced by the people around her lately.. ultimately I believe that she have a good heart and head that will guide her in her decisions.

She is a lawyer. She knows WAY A LOT MORE about making laws than the current senators now who are what, actors? soldiers? She knows the substantive and procedural what-nots of making laws, much, much better than those who are there now. But, like you say, I feel sad for the the children. But, they were raised well by political parents, so I think that they would cope. I just hope that things work out well for their family.

Don't be Letran. Because like their deceased father, their mother would also give them time to bond. Them, being grown up girls already, i bet they will be busy studying or working already. And when they do have the time on weekend i suppose, i think Atty. Leny will surely allot a bonding time with her girls. I just think, Ms. Leny cannot refuse the call for her to run.

Well as a Nagueno myself I feel a bit better that our congressional district would have a better choice of leader than having a candidate coming from a political dynasty again. I think her political contender there is no other than the wife of the incumbent congressman. So I think Leny's entry to politics is something necessary since Villafuerte's are really strong in the Province I just hope that it is high time that the dynasty would finally be stopped at least on the Congressional level. As for her broken promised for her daughters I think they can compromised this in the meantime. The couple has been a strong influence over the city, I guess it is high time that she follow and continue her late husband's legacy. I am much confident if she is given the chance she can share her prowess in Congress than being allowed to be controlled by a political family dynasty.

Atty. Leni Robredo had been telling the media that she will not run for any public office. But the people urged her to run and be their representative. She just listened to the call of the people. I guess her kids will learn to accept it.

For whatever reason...I know she had a good reason for this why he broke her promise. Lets just support her for another endeavor of her life.

Personally, I think this is somewhat an ominous sign. I mean, I know people are allowed to change their minds. But in politics, this prerogative has been much abused. I've heard a lot of personalities saying they wouldn't run for public office, they would not run for reelection, all those stuff. But then they do run and justify it by claiming they're only doing what the people are clamoring for. So what makes Robredo different?

I was hoping that this would not happen due to her children but I think any kid cannot change their parent's mind that quickly or effectively. It's not that I don't trust her or I don't believe in her. It's just sad because I thought that she prioritized more her family than politics. I don't like good people who get whumped out by trapos. I know she meant well but isn't she the same person whoo said that she can also serve without running. Methinks somebody must have pressured her.

A call of service is cannot be compared to family matters. But however, i believe that each of us has a responsible duty of serving our country. It is not proper to turn your back to your country men where they needed you most. It is an honor to be of service especially if the intention is pure. The kids will eventually understand, they grew up in a family of politics.

Nagueños are intelligent voters. As the late Sec. said the people of Naga are the once who demanded from him to be efficient and effective. The people of Naga clamored for Atty. Leny to run in Congress opposite the political dynasty who wants to enter Naga City. Their opponent had been long dreaming to rule Naga City but they just can't. She made the last minute decision to protect the people of Naga from division.
