Forgot to close the door and slept!!!!

I have never fallen asleep with the door open. I think I'd be too afraid for someone or a stray animal to walk in. We have a lot of stray animals roaming around in the area that we live and one could just walk in lol. I'm not too worried about people walking in although you never know.

OMG..why your hubby forgot it?? thanks to God, nothing happens.. just remind your hubby, don`t do it again.. it will be risky have a nice weekend...

For once. We (me and my wife) were returning from some trip to a different state here and as it was peak season we didnt get the two berths and instead we had to share one between us. To make matters worse, the train went late and we reached home 12 hours late in the evening around 9:00. We had opened up both the doors and also the windows to let fresh air come in and started doing the dinner. God knows was that out of tiredness or what but we seem to have fell asleep forgetting that we had to close the doors. Luckily the place were we stay today has the landlady on the ground floor and we on the first floor. And there is much safety as the boundary wall has nails on it and also the main gates are locked. But is was a shocking experience for us both as this was the first time (and probably the last). We now do ensure that in any case we dont leave the outer door open. The back door is safer, though it is still unadvisable to have it open all night.

Is that your main door? Good that you have a place wherein no thieves are nearby. I sometimes forget too but only to lock the door.

Hi riyauro! I always see to it that the door is closed before going to bed. It is very risky even though we believe that our neighborhood is safe. I also remember the same instance when I was still working in an appliance store. I went home after office hours leaving my male office mates behind who are still having some fun. When I came back the following day, I found out that although the padlocks were closed but it was not able get inside the correct hole for the roll up door to be closed. I was so worried that time but thanks God because nobody seems to notice.

and the rats would come in. if the thieves have not hemmed you in already, thinking there was a pot of gold for them to hunt. that is costly. and a mistake.

Leaving doors open is no for us. We also had out main gate locked, but sometimes we sleep with the open windows when the weather is hot. Our window have grills so it's somewhat open. I have fear leaving any open window before because there was this incidence wherein someone broke in our house through the window. Thank God he don't get anything inside and most probably he was just looking for money. He can't take out anything like TV or DVD because he is only way out is that window too and if you are not skinny you can't go inside. I am glad that you are leaving in a peaceful place so no one trespass your house but of course you can never really tell.

Ohhh God the same incident like my hubby two days before they forget to close the door and main gate both next day FIL annoyed on him. The same night I ask him helllooo dear close the bedroom door or forget he annoyed on me heheeh...I laughed. Here no peaceful place robbers can came any time.

That also happened to me. I used to sleep in the living room cause I like to watch tv and movies at night. There are times that I forgot to locked the main door. Thankful that we have peaceful neighborhood too and no one ever attempt to break in the house. But still we really have to be careful and check that it is always locked.

if the door was that the door of the bedroom, i need not to worry but if it the entrance door, i guess it is risky leaving it open like that. for you cannot predict what will gonna happened during the night. so next riyau do not ever forget to close it before going to sleep. consider the incidents might happened while napping. you take care you... :)

It is unbelievable to me that go to sleep without close the door,because there are so many thief in my city,I will always check my door whether closed before I go to my bed,you are so lucky that you live in such a peaceful place and I very envy you.

That happened to us twice. I was so upset because my husband forgot to close/lock our front door. I'm worried because 3 years ago, a burglar entered our compound tried to steal something. Every now and then, i make sure that all doors and windows are close before going to bed. I don't sleep until he has arrive from work or somewhere else. It bothers me and i don't feel secure.
