tomorrow is birthday of Subhi, grandkid of Professor Bhuwan, our family friend from india. my hubby Jose is back in India now, he is supposed to send a gift or attend the celebration. i had sent dolls for her 40 days back with chocolates as birthday gift. She is now 4 years old. and some gifts for all family members there I am happy it has reached in time. i hope they will like it.
tell me nice gifts that you give on special occasions like this. it would be fun sharing ideas.

I forgot to tell you, the 2 dolls you sent and the chocolates have reached us; also Jose had sent 2 beautiful dresses for her, thanks for remembering her birthday, Nini will wear one tomorrow, i will share the photographs.

It is so nice when there is the posibility of meeting in person one of our best online friends. I an also honored by Bhuwan`s friendship and he has sent me pictures of his beatiful family. I`m glad that you could send her a gift and I see from their response to your post that it has arrived safely.

Well as I read from Sir's response above, I think they are the most apt gifts for a 4 year old cutie. I would also have added a beaded necklace too as I think she would look prettier with that worn on her dress

I and Vidya are busy preparing so many types of indian cakes, we call them 'pitha', both sweet and salty type, there will be cake cutting along followed by 'puja' and feast

hello kal,
truth is i wanted mylot to celebrate with nini and your family. see? I am getting a lot of responses and i could feel everyone is happy and excited.
i didnt know there are sweet and salty kind of cakes. when jose comes back i hope he brings some for me.
i heard from the professor that it is also mom's fasting day dedicated to sons today. but i hope the food you prepare on the birthday will all be consumed. the tradition seems to be contradicting with the birthday celebration. but i heard too that every child in the neighborhood is invited.
