To all mylotters who are interested in religion especially the Bible. You are all invited to participate in my proposal to FORMULATE RULES AND GUIDELINES in giving comments/responses to any Bible discussion.
I understand, many brilliant mylotters no longer interested in participating in any Bible discussion due to some probable reasons; 1. they get offended, 2. making enemies rather than friends, 3. heated arguments and hostilities flourished due to lack of Rules and Guidelines, 4. lack of respect to other faith and beliefs, 5. others
Please remember, the main objectives this website (mylot.com) as advertised; TO EARN MONEY, TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS, and TO HAVE FUN.
So then, let's have them all. Believe me my fellow mylotters, there is no more interesting, fun, and rewarding discussion than the Holy Bible. It is our gauge of "spirituality" in contrast to "worldliness".
So for a start, I respectfully recommend the first RULE in our future Bible discussion; 1. Stick to the subject/issue/doctrine being discussed - Moving away to the main topic will only result in confusion than agreement. Scriptures presented must be refuted also with scriptures as counter evidence.
Everything in here is open for correction. Just my thought, what about yours?

I think that it should be put in a forum type of discussion. If somebody wanted to discuss race car driving you wouldn't find anybody else bashing on it because its not controversial. The Bible is one of the most criticized but most read books of all time. Discussions can range from books of the Bible to what the passage means to somebody. I like discussing the Bible but I like applying it even more to my life.

Hi gitfiddleplayer greetings. You have just presented a beautiful and interesting comment especially the last sentence. Seldom you can hear people says they live what they preach. You're so unique and admirable. And for that I salute you.
God bless you and your family.

Im not sure really strict rules are necessary or that beneficial as it may stifle possible debate.Whilst i agree that posts should be relevant to the discussion I don't think it should be limited to the starting post as if a conversation is allowed to develop naturally it can reach some very interesting places. Also because religion is so personal, peoples interpretation of what is connected differs and they may have a wider interpretation of what is part of the same topic than you.

Hi anklesmash greetings. Let me first say your comment is appreciated. I understand rules are being made to restore peace and order. But it seems to be, many mylotters agree to your idea. Simply because very few responded to my proposition.
Have a nice day.

Perhaps everyone who starts a discussion, could add a short and polite reminder in the end - "Please stick to the subject" or something like that - it seems that most people tend to forget, so a small reminder in our discussions might help.
If they forget, someone could say: An interesting question, perhaps we can talk about this subject in a separate discussion and give more room for responses - would you like to start a discussion about this subject?
Maybe at least some will get used to stick to the subject..

It would be great if people 'played nice' but there will always be an element who for whatever reason, behave in a way that is not constructive.
My own terms are that I will participate in a discussion and try and reach at least an understanding with other participants in a respectful way. If that can't be done, you have to say your piece and walk away.
You can end up with a lot of stress from these arguments which basically does you no good. If there is not going to be a positive outcome, just walk away.. they can't MAKE you respond, so don't...
I would like to point out that I have seen this unacceptable and ungracious behaviour from both Christians and non-Christians

Hi livewyre greetings. As the saying goes, different people have different attitude. You cannot please everybody so goes another. Or that you cannot force other people to accept your beliefs.
All of these should not put a lot of stress on our part. It should be that all discussions and responses presented in here, must stay in here and must not affect us one way or the other.
While it is true that sometimes our own beliefs are being questioned, well then, we have two choices, to ignore it or to accept the challenge. In the process of doing so, have fun while earning even just a precious $cent. Have a nice day.

You are in sergs-pogi. Can I send you a friend request so that I can follow your presented Bible discussions? You know my friend, I am more inclined to discuss bible issues and doctrines more than anything physical. See you around.
