Hello everyone this is the 4th time SRI Lanka lost the world cup. West indies won the world cup after a long gap of 33 years. This is a great need in world cricket as west indies are back. The hero Marlon Samuels.

The West Indies win is a great one, and can be attributed to great performances by Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Pollard, Sunil Naraine, and other players as well. They were not in this tournament with "Favorites" tag but did much more. Let us see how they maintain this form in upcoming tournaments.

Its a win which will boost their cricket surely,they have habit of wobbling under pressure they did so today also,but when you get success things problems start ending much faster.Congratulations WI it is a great victory indeed.

It is great to have Westindies win the World Cup. I think they have a lot of good players and also a lot of good all rounders in the team.

What a win for West Indies!! And what a wonderful celebrations after the victory!! At half time, Sri Lanka were the odds on favorites to lift the cup. But the Windies bowlers really turned on the screws. How far has the Windies cricket come, now they depend on spinners to win them the matches and they did a great job. Samuels was brilliant in his knock and deserved to get that Man of the Match. Cheers! Ram

It is a great achievement by the West Indies team. They have a great time ahead, with some good batsmen and bowlers. Hopefully, they will maintain their tempo and may be win more matches in One Day Internationals as well.
