A moment of Sadness but a lifetime of Happiness

Recently, I have been feeling sad, worried and guilty of my sins. I am not happy with my current situation. And so I asked God for forgiveness and for His peace and joy to fill my heart again. I realized that the times when I feel sad and blue were the times I focus on my problems. But I thank God because he reminded me that He has forgiven All my sins, and I only need to focus my eyes on Jesus, knowing that He is at work in my life. God always takes me back to His Word to claim His promises for my life.
You see, most of the time that we are not focusing on the Word of God, we tend to feel and carry the burden of the world that Jesus already carried on the cross. I could say that it's too heavy for a man to carry. I praise God because he took it upon himself the punishment so that we could experience life to the fullest. True enough, after my hearfelt earnest prayer to Jesus, as I worshipped Him in Spirit and in truth, the burdens just melted away. The love of God surppasses everything in making a cold heart warm again.
I feel that I need to share with you mylotters that sadness should only be a fleeting emotion in us. We should always be glad because we have Jesus in us who accepts him as Lord and Saviour. In Him, ther is peace, joy and freedom. if anyone of you is searching for a purpose in life, or happiness or sufficiency in everything, peace- all these can be found in Jesus. He is knocking in everyone's heart to come in and carry your burdens. You may search across the globe but you can only find these in the Son of God, Jesus.
Be blessed everyone!

Hi Melissa! The life of a Christian has its ups and downs. The road that a Christian must follow has many bumps. The goal is to endure on this road. We do not walk this road alone. We get encouragement from reading God's word and meditating on the love God has for each one of us. He has sacrificed his unique, special Son, Jesus Christ for us. Surely, He will not give up on us. If we keep doing our best, He will always take care of us. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Hi,
Your heading makes me remember the act of giving birth. A few hours of pain, a lifetime of celebration. Like giving birth on a Christmas or New Year's Eve, being away in a hospital while the revelry goes on around. Then seeing the realization when the next year comes around that the celebration is double for those who went through it all, and for a lifetime too.
That's how we gain eternal reward: a moment of pain, a lifetime to gain.

Amen!
You've got to remember to 'seek first the Kingdom of G-d'; G-d (whatever you wanna call him ... El, Allah, El Shaddai, Jehovah, Yahweh, YHVH ... Flying Spaghetti Monster) is the only thing that matters---make sure G-d is good, and you don't really care how you are (except as you are better-able to please G-d while you feel better).
