Sometimes the re-makes are better than the originals and sometimes they are just downright corny. I like to watch the re-makes of the horror movies from the 1970's because it's the old ones that are corny lol. And when the movies get re-made a lot of times the special effects are better, but a lot of times the dialogue is really silly while they are trying to maintain the feel of the original movie. I liked the re-makes of Amityville Horror, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Last House on the Left. The original Last House on the Left by Wes Craven was super corny lol. It looked like they used ketchup for blood.

Haha this is so true. When u watch the old horror movies ...ur like "are serious!" It's a pain to watch them sometimes how corny they are. But these new ones are so better. Thank god for modernization lol

I have always found remakes to be rather pointless since the story has been told before. It does not matter to me that the new version is a far better quality due to the advanced technology available, it still seems futile to watch a movie in which you already know the story and the outcome. The favourite for this is the choice of mythological subjects. They keep remaking the story of Jason and the Argonauts or the Siege of Troy, which seems so unnecessary when there are so many other stories in Greek and Roman mythology that would make interesting new movies.

Hello Born. It all depends on the movie and what they are trying to do with it.O don't think that Hollywood should try remaking the old classic like "Gone With the Wind" or the "Little Rascals". It just doesn't work. If they want to do a remake then They should give the movie a new name. No one could play Rett Buttler like Clark Gable or Spanky McFarland.I don't like to see them, try to make a follow up movies either like they did with "Scarlet" a follow up on Scarlet O'hara from "Gone With the Wind". It was total flop s fr s I'm concerned.

Usually I am not keen on remakes,i find i often negatively compare them to the original films. The only real exception to this is if i happen to have seen the remake first. Then for me it becomes the definitive version in my mind though these are the exceptions that prove the rule.Sometimes I avoid watching remakes if I really like the original I good example is that I have categorically refused to watch the new Karate Kid film.

Remakes are good in a way when it gives me the same or more than the entertainment i get, lol! Usually a sudden change of twist of story as compared to the original or probably a different setting or era or whatever. I am much into romance and love stories, so probably i would wish for a happy ending, lol!

i prefer if the original was made way longer..like 20-25 years ago before the film maker intends to reboot or remake them..

Hi, Remakes are fine as long as they are digitally enhanced. They add dimension to an otherwise corny and hackneyed movie.
