Just wondering how mylot pay a comment?

I've been doing mylot for a week now and I been commenting with not just a sentence long comment but a paragraph one, hoping I'll get more pay and would reach one dollar in three days. But to my dismay it seems that I don't far even though I have started a good discussion and many have commented and I have commented on each comment and commented on other discussion as well as many as I can but the most I could get is only.17.
Now I'm wondering how mylot pay me in every discussion I made and comment I give. Does anyone know? Please tell me. thanks!

We are not allowed to discuss the complex alogorithms of myLot. But if you're participating with each person in your discussion and always replying back, you are doing well. 
Check out in the FAQ about the DNS system which you will get a star for at 100 posts. That does contribute to your earnings when you get it but don't rush cause the users rate your responses. Or at least they can.

Thank you for the comment. I actually rate good those who comment with my discussion. I also hope they would rate me good too. I'm really hoping that before the year ends I'll be able reach my cash-out allow. I really need cash these holidays.

Well be aware of what you're meant to use the + and - for. They are not like and dislike buttons.
Use the + button if you think: the discussion or comment is positive for myLot
Use the - button if you think: it is negative for mylot (insults, flaming, etc)
and do neither if you feel neutral about them

Getting near it (I mean I'm almost there with the understanding). I am so glad I could ask question like this and a lot of mylotters would extend their understanding or knowledge about this. I actually used to press the + sign whenever I like the comment and I have never used the - sign yet. I hope that I won't.
From this time and on I might just more of a neutral then so that I won't get wrong about using that plus and negative button.

MyLot is a discussion site and that is what we get paid for, discussing, not for each topic, each response or each comment. We earn for our overall quality participation.

Your comment made me realized things. This made me see things clearly. Now I know what to prioritized.
From now on I will more on commenting with other mylotters post so that I'll get paid more. I hope that I'll be able to give sensible comments.

Hi. Mylot pays you only if you have quality comment and not per post. If you say thank you or its helpful and you post comment in two or three sentence then you will not get paid. So try to post two or three liner comments. That's we all know about. Something are kept secret from mylotters regarding paying. Cheers.

Hi. Actually you have to make relevant comment according to post. You can't post the comment which is different from discussion. Yeah I sometimes also go through situation where I don't have any mood to discuss or comment. But if I am in mood, I make atleast 10 comments a day. Cheers.

Hi Swats,
Thanks for the suggestion. Now I know what to do and what to right, specially how to respond on discussions. At least it's clear to me that I should write relevant comments. At first I tried to comment just to do a little response thing. But now I am learning a lot from here and from this discussion. You guys helped me a lot really. I hope too that I'll be able to do the same with those who are new to mylot.

Thank you for commenting, it's now getting clearer to me how mylot payments work. At least I don't have to wonder and expect that much. I actually try to post a paragraph than just a liner co's I have this idea that it's better to put more in your comments than just a simple thank you.
But there are times that I felt so tired than I cannot comment more. When a person gets really tired nothing comes in the mind, my mind is blank that's why I play games instead.
