how many of you will do that especially when looking for ways to earn online,we come across sites that will prompt you do download this ,go to that site, use this app or download this file etc etc. In the haste to have a means to earn online working at home, many will actually do as requested without a 2nd thought as to whether it is safe to do so. most PCs have firewalls or antivirus but does that mean we can rely 100 % on them, malware, spyware etc can be disguised in many ways. I should know, it was some malware that crashed my old PC. So now ,though i am looking for means to earn at home online. i am more cautious whenever i am prompted to download this file or go to some site or even when i get writing assigments that pays me,we just never know what comes with downloads without checking thoroughly.

Hi bryan,
I used to do that a few times, I think. But it's all in the past. I don't download any make money softwares anymore, especially if the income generated from it is so little. It is not worth it.
Now, I have a new problem. I like to read lots of new infos especially free money making infos. Nowadays, you see a lot of squeeze pages that give you free info when you give them your email address. That's why I have tons of emails sent to my inbox. So, this is another weakness that I have to overcome. Too much info will get me into trouble. I'll suffer from information OVERload.
Installing an anti-virus software is actually a MUST for anyone who makes a living through online. I'm worried too because I haven't installed it in my laptop. Well, we certainly need to do a lot of thinking before we accept, install, give anything that's to do with the internet. Happy mylotting!

it sounds all too famiiar to you know who..! Yup,you can be very well describing my internet using profile. Lately i have been accepting a lot of writing gigs, short 3- 500 word articles that pays 5-10 usd a pop, rewrites mostly,so as a course ,downloading certain assignments are required.in zip. file, just thinking that it isnt too difficult to hide malware , trojan etc in files like so if one knows how to beat anti virus scans.

Even though I am just surfing, or even on an important research or even money-making scheme, I will never download anything or run any program in my computer. There's no assurance that I wouldn't be susceptible to any viruses, and if that happens I know I will never get any support from them.

I don't do that at all. i am very careful when surfing the net since downloading can be disastrous if one is not careful on what he or she downloads.. I usually read them thoroughly and look them up on the internet to know if what i am about to download is safe..

it's kind of hard to be excited when the rest of the country isn't growing economically.

Yes, you are right. We really have to think thoroughly first before downloading anything. But whenever I download something, I always scan it before executing. Upon searching online jobs, I only downloaded oDesk and Elance tools so far.

I am not the type to mindlessly download stuff from sites, specially if I do not know what exactly the files do to me or my computer. I take time and make sure I know or at least have a decent idea what the things I am downloading, not only because I am very careful but because I hate wasting time downloading unnecessary/useless things. In fact, one of the few things I really hate is when some of my friends ask me to fix or repair their computers and then I find so many garbage, like useless toolbars and nonsense applications installed and taking up space in their computers. I believe that it is our responsibility to know what we are downloading. I know that there are times this happens without the actual intention of it happening, and I admit to sometimes having done that, but it would really do us good if we take a little more time to know first whatever we can find out about the things we are about to download and run in our computer. It would save us time and effort.
