Dear friends Mylotters Last Christmas (2011), I bought it for the first time in my life a smartphone. The product is a Samsung Corby GT-15500 (you know it?), And the seller told me that this is one of the most basic smart. I must say that after a year, all in all, I have not found bad with this product. Of course it is a little slow, since its processor traveling "only" at the speed of 600 MHZ. Now, after a lot of experience with this phone, I'd almost decided for next Christmas, buy a new one, obviously with superior characteristics. That said however, I do not yet fully convinced. I did not even now the idea of which brand and model to buy. In recent times, do not talk about anything but the iPhone5. In every way, that to me is to be excluded immediately, I can not afford it, given my limited budget statement. We will see in December, which will be my choice.

Speaking of buying a phone for Christmas, me too am planning to buy one. Samsung Corby is also nice but I haven't fully tried all the details of the phone. As for me, I think I will be buying an android phone.. (the cheap one) But still I don't know what to buy too :D What is the max budget you want to buy for a smartphone friend?

Well, your question, I can not give a direct answer, because the budget available to a person, varies from individual to individual. I would not spend more than € 150 (about $ 195), you have to keep in mind that I do not work and I get only a meager monthly allowance. If you have a better chance at economic level, then you can afford something better than me.

The HTC smartphones are some of the best in the world. You can find an HTC model at the median price (i.e. HTC Wildfire or HTC Desire) and get a lot for your money. Try researching HTC models and read user reviews so that you will be able to determine which is best for you. :)

In fact, my brother bought last March a HTC (but can not remember the model) paying € 200 (about $ 260). Although this brand is not well known, or rather, not to the levels of the Samsung, for example, has been however an excellent purchase for him.

I am here to know more about smart phones and iPhone5. :) I was hoping somebody would offer comprehensive details. :) HTC sounds good. But features have not been discussed. Nor has the cost..that is so important for us, isn't it? :) While I cant buy it this Christmas, I would definitely have a go at it by next August. :) That is my pa's birthday and he loves electronics stuff. :)

If you cannot afford an iPhone, go for Samsung galaxy models, but i prefer the S models to experience the greatness of smartphones. Another option is HTC which is at par with Samsung. The last would be LG smartphones. Hope you'll be able to get one soon and enjoy it with a great data plan!

wow ,that's so nice. Smartphones usage is common these days. Every one wants a smartphone .Many give importance to the look and the features. It also depends on how we use it. I am using Nokia C5-03 .I never used any other brand other than Nokia.

Well smartphone bought from me last year, cost me € 90 (approximately equal to $ 117). This year, assuming that make the new purchase, I get to buy a product to spend a maximum of € 150 (about $ 200). You must know that I do not work, so as I have also pointed out in my thread, my business budget is very limited.

I plan to keep this smartphone that I have until it no longer works and the warranty runs out. I am not the type of person who has to have the newest and lastest things as long as this one works I am happy with it. If you decide to get a new one I hope you can find one you really like. It can be tough picking out electronics.

There are a lot of decent and affordable android phones on the samsung galaxy line. LG also have some good and affordable offerings. I never had an android nor iphone, upto now I am still using old nokia phones. However, when I get a job in the future, I might buy a windows phone, just to be different from androids and iphones :).

Getting a samsung android phone is the most practical thing to do when it comes to purchasing smartphones. Iphones are not really practical, if you'll ask me. Besides, samsung are known for their performance and durability.

smart phones are every where. I think if you decided to buy a smart phone this coming Christmas, try to buy an android phone. there are a lot of android phones out there there is samsung galaxy y, galaxy pocket some are new phones in the market like Lenovo which is also an android phone. They are way cheaper than those newly launched smart phones. They may seem to be basic phones but they are still powerful gadgets.

Well i have also decided to buy a touchscreen Smartphone but simultaneously my mind says i should get a PS3 for me. A new Smartphone will cost me around $300-$350 and nearly the same costing of PS3. You are right iPhone 5 is totally out from our budget, on ebay sellers are selling it for $800-1000 which is very high, maybe Android phones would be a better choice. Do you have any suggestion for me what should i get a Smartphone or PS3 or if you were on my place what you will buy Smartphone or PS3.
