Dealing with your cravings

Aside from the difficulty to motivate oneself to exercise and work out to lose weight, the hardest thing to combat during diet is controlling the cravings. Sometimes, one is not even hungry, but due to cravings, he/she gives in to eat something he/she thought he/she likes. What can you suggest in order to control and deal with unnecessary cravings?

Alot of times we get craving because our bodies need something it isn't getting. By eating several small meals during the day you keep your metabolism at peak preformance and there is no reason for you to get cravings. Cravings come when we are trying to starve ourselves to lose weight. The best way to lose weight and diet is to change our diet.

I am trying to lose weight at the moment as well, and I do struggle with my cravings. When I am on my own, there is often nothing that I can do about it and I end up binging on things that I shouldn't. One of the main things that I find tends to help is keep busy. If you do this then you won't have enough time to binge eat, and your hands will be busy so you won't feel that same kind of compulsion to binge eat. It is a hard journey, but you will find that you do get used to it after a certain amount of time, so don't worry about it.

hi, i am thankful because my metabolism in eating is very faster that is why even i eat many foods it will not make me fat,but still i do diet to avoid having diseases,but there are times that i also crave to food that contain cholesterol such as very fatty food.i think discipline is the best way to have.

cravings are bad and it comes like crazy. i too have lot of cravings but i gain weight fast so have to control. I do it by remembering the goals i have in weight loss. So i think that is i eat that, it will take lot of time to lose weight and in that way i am not helping myself. I then go and have water. Best way. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Then just control yourself and have a self discipline when it comes to food cravings. No one will do that except your own self and it is a total sacrifice for you to stay fit.
