Do you believe in this line?
Have you ever gone through a group of friends where you are the only eldest and they are all the same age group?
Isn't it amazing how it feels like to be with them and as if like you are young as them?
They seem to think that I am also in their age group, that's why I feel blessed to have a babyface! LOL
What are your views guys?
Opinions are highly appreciated...

I can relate on you on this annavi. Me, being the oldest among the girls here in our office, always feel young because most of them are ten or more years younger than me.
But that doesn't deter me from joining them in going out to have clean fun, like disco or going to bars with bands. I feel young whenever we do that and i like it.

Wow, simplyd, you are very young at heart, I may say!
Oh well, we do have to hang out with them from time to time to be able to avoid having such stress and just have fun... :)
smurfy, absolutely right! if you are open to having fun, there's no need to think of age gaps. as long as you are all happy and feeling young, what's important is that you are having fun and happy, feeling young...

You are both correct my friends. Age gap isn't a bother to me indeed. I can mingle with any age bracket, as long as i will still maintain my respectability in the community.

Hi Simplyd,
If I were in your shoe, I would probably do that as well. I would join them up. It would also be a great way to bond with colleagues or friends even though we are not the same age. I don't really think that there is really a big barrier between age gaps. If we can get along, then we can really get along and feel comfortable with each other.
I can even hang out with my sisters and cousins who are younger than me..and I did have fun with them. It's like enjoying your time with them as well.
Happy Mylotting!

Hey thanks a ton for your discussion. i do believe that when u stay with an energetic and young group of friends u will always feel young at heart as u will have fun and entertainment in whatever is being done. All those trash talks, nagging, poking, making fun of each other makes u delighted and happy. i have always tried to be among those friends who can make me smile and go gaga over their talks.
What say?

Hello subhojit, yes there people who seems like they are always inspir ed and they look like they never lose energy at all.
Yeah,what3ver is doing, they do have some entertainment like singing or dancing out of nowhere, and you will feel happy because they can do those 3ven in public...lolz
The trash talks like calling names as if like you are all in the str3et even when it's not. The sudden hitting because of enjoying too much of each other, and making fun of each other or just anything you both see. They are all imaginative as well.
The fact that you are hav8ng laughs together really makes us all young. And it is really a wonderful thing...
You know the feeling of wanting to be always with them, cause it helps you avoid having stress or thinking too much which will cause you sickness. I love being with them. Its b3en such a long time since i last hang out with young people.

I have no desire to be young again. If hanging out with friends made me feel "old" I would simply find new friends. My friends are of different ages; some are younger and some are older than I am. Age has very little to do with our relationships or how we make each other feel.

My friends are my friends because we have similar interests. I have a lot of casual friends that I consider acquaintances that I know through my different activities. I don't spend a lot of time with them, but we are amiable.
My "real" friends, the ones I share my life with, are mostly older, because I relate better to them than to younger people. I have always been serious, I think I was born that way, lol.
I have younger friends, but they are only a couple years younger, and they are more serious minded.

Hello again, canellita! :)
Well, I think it's more of how we behave and the attitudes we have can also be found in our real close friends.
That's why there's a saying "tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are"
Meaning, there's a resemblance of attitudes of friends that we also have. Though, there are people who does flexible thing.
They can relate to anything, be serious or nonsense at all.
It's the way how we open our minds to possibilities of having communication and commitment and friendships.
Thanks for sharing! :)

Well, I think there's something to do with relationships, well as for experience, you'll get to share about anything to people of certain ages. Some younger may not find it interesting, some older may find your experiences not interesting as well.
It depends on a person I guess, if they are open to taslk about anything, like in here.
We get to share things and open people do participate.
There are some who get interested cause they want to learn more, some who jumps on to other topics. Depends on how they think about things as well.
But certainly, there are things young ones enjoy to do which old ones don't.
Just a laughter can differ as you age.
When you are young, you laugh a lot.
When you get older, the seriousness strikes more.
ANd the laughter seldom lets out...
Do you agree?
That's why sometimes if I am with old people, I feel kinda lonely.
That's why I enjoy being with young ones or of my same age groups...
I feel like I belong, and I can teach others and be taught as well.

Isn't that a wonderful feeling?
I think I am the eldest in the company besides my bosses, still many of my colleagues thought that I was their age... And those cute boys in the office did not think much of more than 10 years age gap... if only I am bi*ch enough to take on what they offered....
@annavi23 (6522)

Ahahaha so, what is it that they are offering then?
yeah, so how old are those guys who thinks you are of the same age group? ^_^
You know,it feels good when you are both enjoying each other's company, right?
Plus the fact that they are young makes you reminisce those times that you are facing what they are facing,or the feelings makes you feel young again...

Yes I am belong to a group of friends. We enjoy eating. One will love to cook and all would just love to eat. We really had a great time every time we slept over to a friends house and have a movie marathon and telling stories from one topic to the other. Falling asleep is even harder for stories never stop. Waking up in the morning with a cup of coffee and stories is the best thing morning rituals that we had. Laughing and smiling is part of everything on that moment. No worries at all, just like kids.

Hello newgirl! :)
Yes, Who doesn't like that part, right?
Being with friends is really fun specially if you understand each other well and sharing advises and stories of your life and still no matter how bad you act, they still love you and try to fix you if you gone bad. Kids can have a lot of time playing but then as we grow up, there are things we have to take responsibility with.
We can still meet up friends and sleep overs but not all the time, like we did before. Everything changes so as time and people...

Hmmm, I think you are not the only one doing this. Did your friends do the same thing as well? I bet most people do such cause life just doesn't mean you have to update your friends always. If you are friends and true to them, they will always be in your heart and if they have problems, you'll still be there for them and vice versa.
Unless, there's something bad happened that you just have to stop communicating with them... Well, people do come and go, and be lucky enough to know that people will still care specially in times of need. There are people whom we call friends but then they are just there in fun times but if they see you in pain or suffering, they can't help or don't even bother asking you if you're okay.

But, there comes a moment that I had to stop. I haven't visit my friends for almost a quarter now. I just stop doing the things that we use to do. I don't even send message just to update like I did before. That seems hard but it all going to be just a routine.

Yeah, it does feel young at heart whenever surrounded by youngsters. But then, if the gap is too much, maybe it can feel like older, so you still know where you stand and you have to let them calm at times when they are too hyper. Unless you have been affected too much and you find yourself hyper as well...
I feel like that whenever I am with youngster like 18 to 21 years of age.
Well, there are times they are hyper so, I feel like being noisy as well, but since we have older guy with us, I am still reminded that I should behave like my age...though, I am not near the guy's age...

Annavi23, it doesn't take much of a gap for me to feel older around younger adults. I guess that is why I prefer older friends.
Williamjisir, I don't know how you do it. My students were all much younger and just being with them a short time takes a lot of energy. To deal with teenagers and their attitudes would drive me nuts!

it just depends on you how to handle it.
What matters is you stay strong and learn to understand each other to make the bonding go smoothly and problem free, means all will be happy.
It's always good to have friendships that will stay strong every single day...

Most of my friends are a lot younger than me because I started my second (and beloved) studies when I was maybe 30 or 35 years old. But they don´t make me feel younger or older, I feel comfortable and that´s it. It has to do more with what sort of things we talk about, what books we like to read, what movies we have watched. One of my friends (over 12 years younger) calls me "Marga baby". Considering that I´m 67 years youngit is quite a feat.

hahah, well, the good thing there is that you still wake up each morning and be able to see your grandchildren and those whom you loved and loved you as well.
We can all learn from each other, no matter what age we differ from one another.
That's the good thing in life, we can share and learn wherever and whenever possible.
I guess it also depends on how you feel that day the moment you wake up...

Hahah, well, I guess behaviors matter a lot.
When you are with younger people, you can either be as young as them or older than you think you are.
I guess it's just how open you are on having friends and being able to talk about anything at all.
Yes, the way you can talk about things makes you don't think much of how old you are compared to them.
I also am studying now in my late 20's and I can see a lot of people there who are younger than me, but happily as well, I also have older than me. Though, I want to have same age but non available...
Anywas, it's really fun to have friends of all ages. You can learn a lot from them.

Hi Anna!
Since I am always the youngest or one of the youngest in our group of friends or colleagues, I couldn't really relate well. But, if I am with my cousin and sisters, I can certainly relate since most of my similar age cousins are already married...so I would end up being with those cousins who are 3 or 5 years younger than me.
Anyways, with that, I feel young. And I think that if you will just set your mind that you will be enjoying their company then you will really have fun. Because if you think the other way around then you will end up like that.

Oh well, we may feel young when we are with younger people. But then you know, it can also help us be more responsible hanging out with elder ones. cause they know better than us, for certain reasons. We can learn from each other as well.
So, I guess you are suggesting that same age groups are still best to hang out with? cause you both experience such difficulties in life...and well, you have common stages, am i right?

Hi Anna,
Sorry about that. What I meant was, if I am with my younger cousins and sisters, I tend to feel young because they have the different things that they want to do. Like, every time we go to the mall they usually go to hang out and play with rides and other things.
In that case, others would tend to be bored if they will not emerge themselves and try to level down yourselves to their age.

Feeling younger is so infectious and can totally change your attitude. I've been in a similar situation...made me feel great but they also thought I was hysterical. I had to wonder why and then it dawned on me- all my years of experience over theirs gave me an edge; using old jokes, mimicking old lines and just having an overall attitude of sarcasm with wit. Not sure they loved me for my 'youth' or my experience.
@annavi23 (6522)

hello artsy, well at least you tried to join them...
it's just that they seem too young to appreciate your mimics or old jokes cause they can't relate well. Maybe they would like it more if you go on to their level of enjoyment. cause it gives you time to be happy as well...
I guess it depends how far the gap is...
cause if it's too far, people can't relate much from you,
so tendency is they may get irritated or just act sarcastically...

Really? I feel odd hearing about this. Cause most of the time, I have friends in my same age groups, even before, we always talk about anything. I guess it depends also how you guys share things. It feels good to talk to someone who can connect with you. Share things in common and talk more so you'll get to realize what it is that you both have in common. In this way, you get to enjoy communicating and talking more.
Yes, people who are older than us can think more mature. But if you are young, enjoy that stage, cause not all people enjoy their childhood days...

Hi Vi!
Yes of course. I also feel the same way...sometimes! haha because sometimes when I hang out with younger people, I feel more like an "ate" to them instead of being on the same age as they are. But that's okay I'm happy when younger people treats me as their elder sister and pay respect...
What makes me feel younger is hanging out with older people! hehe Because I am alays the baby in the group! some of them called me "bunso" and I like it! Maybe because I am the first born in our family. And also being with older people makes me feel better because I feel like having moms and aunts around me that helps me ease my sadness whenever I miss my mom.
Hanging with older and younger people is really nice specially when we know how to adjust in every situation...

missed having long chats with you here. i hope this time, you'll have more time in participating here...
Well, back to topic, yeah, I know you really have that "ate" in you.
That's why I somehow treat you as my ate..hehehe
Oh, well, we don't have far age gap anyways, so it may also be like we are of the same age group, though, you are born earlier than me...hahaha
Yes, since you are a first born child, you are more likely younger when being with older people. Yes, it helps you more on becoming an adult and somehow treating others as your second or third mom and so on...lolz
It does feel good when we are hanging out with other group age. I am happy I have gained friends younger and older than me. I can see them almost everyday and it does feel good. Specially the one guy older than me, I feel like having a second father in him...cause he does help me in doing things we have to get done that day...
When we are sorrounded with both young and older people around us, we maybe able to help those younger ones and get help from older ones....It makes me happy, I had an opportunity like this. I know, that in life, we have to help others and we also need help so be thankful enough that there are people who are always willing to help you even if you didn't ask for it... ^_^

being with them is one of the things we should really be thankful cause not all the time we get to spend each day with them. or even just a single person who makes you feel good and happy and lively can't be complete when you are not with them.
But if you have the qualities of being young and positive and energetic, you can help others be lively as well and feel young.

but you know, sometimes being in class can distract others while we are doing some stuffs...

as if like it can also be irritating, you know...i guess for me, i do like to hang out more with high school boys than girls. oh, well, it depends on what characteristics they have....

though, they are fresh graduates from college.
Nah, there are people who changed a lot when it comes to appearances.
