Have you got ever the opportunity to play in your school’s sports team?
I did not get this opportunity in my school life. As my school concentrated more on the studies, and earlier our parents used to think that this is good for my future but later we came to know that over all development required sports also and later in college I did not have enough confidence to play any sports.

As far back as I can remember, my parents had me in sports. I played tee-ball and soccer when I was little. Then in middle school, I played volleyball, softball and basketball. In high school I ran track, played volleyball, softball and basketball. My life was pretty hectic through high school because there were always games and practice constantly. My two oldest kids play sports as well. My son plays football and baseball and my daughter is a cheerleader and my second to youngest son will be old enough for football next year. They have to get good grades though. If their grades start slipping, I will make them quit. They love it and I love it.

I have not always been sporty, certainly not while I was in school, however my best friend was the sports captain for our house so I was always the one who got called on when they needed extra players for a match because she knew I would do it as a favour for her. In primary school I was on the netball and cricket team, and in High School I was on the hockey, tennis and athletics teams. But I was never the most talented person, and I was quite overweight as well, so I was never the first choice for the team.

I wasn't the most athletic person in high school. I was always more about my studies. The sport I did like to play was football, but I couldn't play it in school because we had no football team, and I couldn't play with other kids because I was also taking up weightlifting, which made me much bigger and stronger than the other kids. I still tried to play football for a while, but it was becoming more difficult to find people I could play with. In high school, I was around 5'8" and 270 pounds, which is huge for a guy, let alone a high school kid. While everyone made fun of me for being big and heavy, no one could deny I was strong as a horse. I just concentrated more on the weightlifting scheme, getting bigger, heavier, and stronger
