I saw the pilot and I like it so far. We were used to Justin Hartley as Green Arrow but on Smallville we joined the character quite some time after his return from the island. In this show where the term Green Arrow has not been used yet, we see the start of his "career" as the green hooded archer. Flashbacks have shown the sinking of the yacht that stranded him on the island and the actions of his father that started him on the path as the green hooded archer. Maybe future flashbacks will tell some of his ordeals on the island. Some intriguing plots and subplots have already had groundwork laid for future episodes.
