How to spend money

I never knew the right way to spend the money that's why I often ran short of money despite of a reasonable earning.One day I was about to go to my office, my 8 years old son asked me to give some money to him.I was surprised that just 2 days a go i gave him his weekly pocket money then why he is asking again for money.I reminded him "Son you have already taken your pocket money then why again"He said "father I have saved that money as saving now i need money to spend as your money is only that you have in saving rest of the money is gone sooner or later"I was shocked at such an easy formula and thought that he is right.What do you think?

Thanks riya it was almost unbelievable but true if you save first for a certain period and then start spending the money you saving will never be disturbed as your income keeps coming till you are working.

, it's hidden you see? You already know you spend, the answer is to stop spending. It's not how you are going to use it but to learn to control your urge. I think you remind me of my mother, if you continue like this you'll never change as she never did. I don't buy clothes that are in fashion or any mainstream things but I want to to sometimes, what I do is I go back home and think about if I need to buy that thing for a week. I never go back to the store cause I never need.

Learning how to spend your money is one of the most important things that we can learn when we are children. It is very important that we learn how much of our money we can spend and how much of it we should be able to save. At the moment, I am trying to make sure that the amount of money that I am saving is equal to the amount that I am spending because I am saving up for a flat to live in with my partner. Not having to pay rent would be absolutely amazing to me because it is something that we have wasted far too much money on in the past.

I know that it is difficult to budget,at the moment I am having to do quite a lot of budgeting as I only have a small amount of money which I have feed my self buy any books I need for university and anything else I may need.Though luckily i have been raised to be sensible with money and whenever I am in a position to do so I try and save some money.Any money i earn on line gets saved and all my savings is going to go towards getting my own place.

Thanks for sharing this discussion. Well must say that your son is more talented about saving and spending money than u. Ha ha. Yes i think it is very important not to spend money but also in a wise way so that later on we do not regret and repent about our expenditure. We should always spend according to our requirements and standards. We should always make an estimate and a proper plan and then spend money.
