The right mix of celebrity and activism that is changing with the "mental map" of the world. With this motivation Yoko Ono, the widow of former Beatle John Lennon and committed pacifist, presented the "LennonOno Grant for Peace" at the pop star Lady Gaga in Iceland. "When you're number one you do not want to risk on yourself. But Lady Gaga did it!" said the singer Yoko Ono delivering a cash prize that Lady Gaga has announced will give the AIDS Foundation of Elton John

Definitely an interesting mix of celebrities.I would probably say John Lennon and Lady Gaga have got quite a lot in common. For one thing their both probably the most famous and recognizable people of their generations with unique personalities that go against the mainstream. Im glad she is doing a good thing with the money as AIDS research needs all the possible money and research it can get.

Yes, you're right. In my opinion, every action done with good intentions, including also a fundraiser, it is always well received.
