Yesterday, i heard of a thing .That happened like this: One day my neighbour went to a big supermarket, where he bought two kinds of fish and the salesman put them in a plastic bag .When she checked out the cashier only saw one fish. Not until she went home did she find she only paied one fish. She wanted to pay back but her daughter told her if she did this the cashier would be fired. Although she did it right the final result would not be a satisfying one.She thought she should give the money back to the supermarket but she didn't want to do harm to the cashier. She was in a dilemma. Mylotters, if it were for you ,what would you do with it ?

I have seen things like that happen in my life from time to time and I have to admit that when that has been something that has happened, I have never even considered taking the item that I was mistakenly given back to the store. I think that the reason that I wouldn't do it is because I'm afraid that it would make it look like I was trying to rob the store in the first place and I am not a thief. You know, on the other hand there have also been times that I've been charged too much for an item and I don't go to the customer service center and complain about those times either.

Indeed it is.For an honest customer ,he or she think it not proper to take something from the store for nothing by mistake, but many times supermarkets try their best to earn more from their customers.

I think that keeping the money is the best option. Best for both you and cashier. For somebody it may feel awkward to keep money. but showing honesty can ruin someone's job.

In our country, the cashier would not get fired, but might get retrained or even reprimanded. I think the right thing is for the money to be taken to the store and mistake about the way it was wrapped explained. It may lead to new policy or method of wrapping the fish that is purchased.

I would accept the extra fish as a gift and let it go. She didn't do anything dishonest. It could have been an error, but who knows? Better to let it go than take a chance on getting the cashier in trouble. If she feels strongly that she wants to return it she could give them the money next time and explain she found something extra in her bag and didn't remember paying for it.

I think in my place we (almost everyonr) will just keep the fish and the money, like nothing has ever happened.
I feel so sorry for myself now.

I will just let it be. in my place, the cashier might wouldn't get fired, but the thing would be so complicated when we come back to that big supermarket and ask cashier to do some correction. more complicated if the queue is very tight. the supermarket is also very far from my home. I would feel so guilty for that...
