Christmas is just ahead of us. Besides your close family, who else that you give? Friends, neighbours, teachers, coaches, nanny, hair dresser, colleagues, boss? Is your gift list that long? What's the average price per item? Do you buy Christmas gifts for yourself?

Hello there. I think Christmas is already fast-approaching. I think I'm getting excited to celebrate this very special occasion with my loved ones. It's my most awaited time of the year. I love eating, going to church and shopping malls, taking some pictures and spending some quality time with them. I also like giving and receiving some gifts. Though, I don't really expect others to give me some gifts. If they would remember to give me one, I really feel touched, so blessed and happy.
On Christmas, I love sharing my blessings by means of giving some gifts to the people who really matter to me. I love giving some presents to my whole family. I make sure to give them the things they would really like. Aside from my family members, I also love giving some gifts to my close friends, god-children, boyfriend, boyfriend's family, and workmates. I think my gift list is really long. I've been giving some gifts for three consecutive years already and I feel very happy whenever I see the recipients of those smiling so sweetly. I really appreciate it a lot when they really take some to say thank you to me. Though, whether they would express their gratitude or not, it doesn't really matter. The important thing is that we could celebrate the birth of Jesus by means of being happy together, loving ech ntand sharing what we have with each other.
I think I spend reasonable amount of money for each gift I buy. Maybe I spend $15-$20 for each person I would give the gifts to. I just choose the presents I want to give them. I also buy a present for myself because I think I should also have the thing that I'm really longing for on that special day. I just buy what I really want so it would really be special for me. Oh, I'm already excited for Christmas. Happy myLotting. :)

It is hard sometimes to decide who we should be giving Christmas gifts to, and I will admit that I have never really worked out who you should and shouldn't give to. I have a large family and quite a lot of friends, and I always say to certain ones of them that I won't be doing many presents this year so I don't want them to get me anything. Sometimes they will ignore me when I say that, but I don't mind because I did warn them about what I was doing so they can't really say that I just didn't get them anything to be spiteful.

When you have large family/friends to give in, it will stretch out the budget. Without tracking, we can spend thousands of $$, that is the scariest part. Then in an effort to control spending, I tend to look for cheaper gifts. Don't know whether it is a good solution, but we are all limited with $$.

Hello, yes. Christmas is just around the corner. Giving, forgiving, and forgetting the hurts of the past is the essence of christmas. I don't set an average price per item because it doesn't matter how much it cost as long as it is heartily given. I am undecided on what to buy for myself? A watch? A new PC? hehe. I don't know.
Don't worry about numbers or how many people you will give gifts to. Just start with the ones who are close to you. - Mother Theresa.

Oh, I don't even want to think about it! Lol. My list is quite lengthy. Other than my kids, husband, mom and dad...I buy for both sets of my grandparents, my brothers, my sister-in-law, my niece and nephew, my step-mom, step-dad, my kids' teachers, the dog (LOL)...oh and the partridge in the pear tree. I love the Christmas season, but I hate the shopping and the hustle and bustle of it all. Last year, I went WAY overboard. I'm not doing that again this year. Last year I also had a lot more money than I do now to spend, but this year, I'm going easy on the shopping. Last year I spend close to $3,000 easy. I have four kids and at least 3/4 of that went to them. I spent a couple hundred on my husband and maybe $20 or $30 a piece on everyone else. This year, I'm not spending more than $1000 all together. My family is huge and my kids get so much crap from everyone else, that I can get away with just getting them a few things each and calling it a day. I don't have room in my house for all the stuff that they get on Christmas. Not to mention two of my kids have birthdays in December, so I have that to deal with too. Lol
