Hey guys, an Indian television channel recently did a sting operation and has said that it has caught on camera international umpires from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh agreeing to fix matches during domestic Twenty20 tournaments. These umpires were seen negotiating deals with under-cover reporters to spot-fix matches.
It is such a shame for the entire cricketing fraternity. After the spot fixing allegations on Pakistani cricket players, it was rather disappointing to see that even umpires are getting involved in this dirty business just to earn quick money. The umpires who have always been thought an as embodiment of fair, unbiased and just
decision makers in cricket have surely lost out their image in this era. ICC is due to investigate the allegations against these umpires involved in the spot fixing row.
What are your thoughts regarding this? R u devastated by this news like me? Why are the umpires following the footsteps of the cricketers now? Please leave your thoughts!

well , i am not surprised after seen so many match fixing cases in recent times . The reputation and respect about cricket is lost long time ago , now I only watch cricket for entertainment but people in the past have emotion for the game which is lost .
Therefore I am not at all surprise by the news . May be in future we will see more of this kind . When you involve big chunk of money , you have to be ready for consequence also . There is no benefits without pain .

Hey thanks a ton for your response. yes u are absolutely right, there is no charm and grace left in the cricket any more barring some who still play cricket for their country wholeheartedly otherwise all others are simply money minded. i was very much shocked about this news as i adore and follow cricket very much. Cricket is no more a gentleman's game. I hope the culprits are punished severely so that we do not hear any such cases in the future.
What say?
