Today students in our school can apply for the scholarship. if we want to apply, we need to fill in a blank. I also want to apply for it,but my grade is not the very good so I give it up. At that time I realised the importance of your grades and I felt helpless. Almost you can say that if you own grades, you own everything.Without grades, you own nothing. How impressed me! I wan so regret that I did't study hard before and from now I will try my best to get the best grades I can.I hope I can have the chance to apply for the schoarship next year.

hi,
yes its true that when a student wanted to have a scholarship they should have a high grades and they need to maintain it,in high school i applied for scholarship but because there were many students wanted to have that many students applied for that until the quota has been enough to stop the acceptance of students.its too late for me.

yes, as a student, grade is so important. some people think all students should do is to study and get a good grade. i disagree. i am a high school student now. yes, grade is so important and powerful but i don't think it is everything. i think the most important thing for students is to try to think by myself and have my own idea. experience for students is so important. sometimes, grade can't decide what people we will be. we should learn to live happily and just to do our best. it is enough.

Yes, you are right. I also regret that I didn't study harder when I was still in university. If I really did my best, maybe I graduated with flying colors. I was wrong. I thought studying hard was only about competition. No. Getting good grades will avail you to get a scholarship as well as a brighter future someday. It's not yet late for you to study hard. Give your best. I know you can do it! Just don't abuse yourself. You should still have enough sleep and rest. Goodluck. Happy mylotting.

Yes the grade is very important in university,I remember that in my university time the evaluation of scholarship is GPA which means almost the same with your grade, but from another point of view,I think the most important thing you need to do in university is not the grade but to improve your comprehensive ability, you will find that which is much important when you graduate from your university and start to work.

In school yes. Because it where your teacher will see you as a student. It is with your grades you'll be able to get more credits. My sister in-law is now in university taking up accountancy. She complained at first taking up this course because she is not good in math and her grades in math was quite the lowest on her finals grades.
When the accountancy head saw her grades he told her if she really can make it and not just the course because she will better drop it now that later. MY sister in-law was actually hurt and challenged. And during their midterm she passed the highest grade on her block and her teacher was surprised and got her compete with the quizzers.
Good grades is indeed your powerful tool to get the best spot in your school. Not just the position but with the hearts of your teachers and co-students.

There are those who are gifted with intelligence and there are those who are just the average but has the capacity to enhance their mind. NEVER GIVE UP! There are those who took the patience and the determination to do well and even greater. Believe in yourself that if others were able to achieve it even when they were incapacitated or has some disabilities were able to achieve their goal, you can do also.
Don't linger in your regrets, past is past, move on, there is much more for you. Regrets can be a negative force for you if you look at yourself with no hope but it could also be a positive force that gives you a learning lesson to do better next time. You're second chance is here. You've learned that studying hard is your daily goal so focus on your goal. Planning to achieve it and discipline takes major roles in achieving this then, surely you can make it.

There are a lot more chances that young people have these days than they have ever had in the past. Because there are so many people getting the higher qualifications, this means that every grade that you get will count towards whether you are accepted onto certain courses or not. There are far too many young people who are wasting their time in school without thinking about their future, and when they get to the point where they have to start applying for jobs they will slowly realise that they should have worked harder in school.

Don't be discouraged. You can always try again.
Grades alone does not guarantee success. Many people who are successful in life did not do well in their academic studies, or at least not as great as their peers.
Move on, and in time, this will also be a thing of the past, a distant memory. In the meantime, I know you can be sad, but do not let sadness overtake you. Be strong and focus on the studies to learn for knowledge, not just for grades.

Thanks for sharing this discussion. Yes u are very much correct. Education has become a complete business and it is pretty much evident from the fact that more the grades or marks u secure, then better chances u have to get a seat in a prestigious college. There is absolutely no value for the students who in spite of securing less marks or grades are talented enough than the ones with good grades. This system has to change for the good will.
What say?

Well, not only for applying the scholarship that need excellent grade, applying jobs need it too. I sometimes wonder why the employee see more to our grades instead of our skills to decide whether or not we will get the job.

Yes you have a point but grade isn't really the most powerful thing. It's your knowledge and intelligence. Some people have bad grades but they are the ones who knows more than the person who has a higher one. I think you should be confident enough to take the exam and get that scholarship. BUt yes, there is really a grade limit in scholarship. Just try to make your grades higher and learn. :)
