hi there sheetalnr.
i think ryback is the best thing going on in wwe nowadays. from his skip sheffield days to his nexxus enforcer character, i've always liked the skip sheffield character. i will be the first to admit that the first time i saw the ryback character, it looks similarly creepy to a cross between goldberg and rob van dam. up to this day, i still feel the same although, i've grown to like the ryback character. those early squash matches that he was involved in, the 2 on 1 handicap matches with virtual unknowns and jobbers were ho-hum matches. it served its purpose of building ryback's character as a monster.
a couple of weeks ago, we saw ryback crossed paths against current champion cm punk. now, cm punk has to choose between ryback and john cena on who he will defend his title against. with the present situation, i think ryback should fight cm punk and ryback should give a good account of himself in the match but still lose the mathc to cm punk. given john cena's current injury, ryback becomes cm punk's choice with cena acting as a special guest referee in the title match. a punk-ryback match with cena as special guest referee makes sense because it still involves the current top guys of the company (punk and cena) and the upcoming star (ryback). wwe creative can gauge crowd reaction to ryback. i don't see the need for ryback getting a win and a title belt this early in his career. the longer the build-up, the better the results. i think cm punk gets a controversial win over ryback with some interference coming from either tensai or someone from cm punk's nexxus past like mason ryan. we could also see some accidental bumps with john cena so wwe creative can see if ryback can cross over as a heel as well. i think right now, it is still too early to say that ryback is a face or a heel. sure, he is pitted against punk which is now a heel but there's no saying that ryback will be a good face.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

rvd being pregnant is not a very good sight!
lol!
i agree with you that keeping ryback away from the mic will help in retaining his mystery. sooner or later though, he will need to cut a good promo so he has to develop his mic skills.
as for ryback beating on jobbers... that's part of building up a wrestler's image. he has beaten tensai though on two different occasions. both mathces were clean wins for ryback although he wasn't able to execute the shell-shock on tensai in one match. he tried twice but failed to hoist tensai on his shoulders on both times. instead of using his patented shell shock finisher, he clotheslines tensai instead and covers him for a win.
not sure if ryback muffed the move or if tensai was sandbagging it. it is important to note that in the previous match, he was able to shell shock tensai easily. word has it that wwe creative might have instructed tensai to pull this one off without ryback knowing it. it seems it was a test to see how ryback will react.

Its like Goldberg and RVD fall in love get married and RVD gets pregnant and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. I am sure Ryback's "Mom" and "dad" must be proud of their "son". Ryback is currently a tweener cos he squashed some face jobbers as well. They just need to keep his mystery, its better to keep him away from the mic to retain that mystery.

I dont think thats a good idea.
All Ryback did so far is to beat nameless wreslers, jobbers etc.
only Miz was a much better opposition but he was also squashed.
the biggest complain with Ryback is that none of his matches has gone past the 5 minute mark.
heck even the last divas match between kaitlyn and eve went for 6 minutes.
a typical WWE match should last atleast 20 minutes.
so putting a guy who hasn't had a long match, breathing as if he had eaten something very spicy, says only 3 words in all the months he wrestled as ryback into a match with CM punk will not only make the match pahtetic after 5 minutes,it will destroy all the gimmicks they set for him so far as the unbeatable force.

Ryback can go for more than 15 minutes, i feel. Anyway, Punk vs Ryback should be good.

People are not really into Ryback, the fact people shout goldberge and RVD in his matches makes me think he is not ready for championship. His charcter is someone who just destroy jobbers, a very Mary sue like character....People hated Cena for a reason. think Rybak can surpass the hate. I dont hate him but he is just not ready for a title match.

Oh yeah, I remember on one episode of Raw I think, there was like a small scene were in Ryback stared at CM Punk, after CM Punk hurt Mick Foley. Honestly, yeah they should face each other in a world title match, and to make things better Ryback should win. I might be a little bias because I like Ryback even before he was just "Skip Sheffield" of NXT and a member of Nexus, unfortunately he was sidelined for a long time due to an injury. However, what should be expected is that cm punk might still win because it seems with current flow of the storyline, wwe writers/creative staffs want to make cm punk a very bad villain that will reign as wwe champ for quite a long time and with paul heyman on his corner.
Nevertheless, expect the unexpected, because if ever wwe sees the potential of boosting Ryback's character to a main event superstar, they might pull a "Batista-like" rise to stardom, remember when Batista defeated triple h when they were still team mates on Evolution? Batista became more famous when he won that match against triple h.
