I went grocery shopping, to get my blood work done. The clinic was closed, I dont kow why it's rather annoying (on the door it said the hours and they should of been open).
I spent $58 in groceries in total, this should last a few weeks or more. I bought 4 packs of Udon noodles (each pack has 4 packages in them), another pack of a different type of noodles, sauce as I;m almost out, 2 salad dressings as I was out, 2 packs of the boxes instant mashes potatoes, 2 small bags of sticky rice, a bag of sweet potato chips, a bag of veggie sticks (similar to chips), 6 packages of mushrooms, 2 packages of bea sprouts (50% off), 2 premade salad kits (50%), a pack of freezies (50% off), a pumpkin chocolate chip loaf (30% off), a pack of raspberry turovers (30% off), raisen tart swuares package (30% off), a tiny container of raspberries, and a big bag of mixed veggies.

Wow! You did great. I wish we could find a place like that. I spent $63 on food today and only wanted to spend $50. I hope we will have enough for the month.

This was Zehrs it's a local grocery store. But they usually have a lot of clearance items to sell them instead of throwing them out. I was just going to ick up a few items but got all this. I remember in college going right before they closed and they would have even more clearace, whereas this store doesnt. I'm only feeding myself so it;s not bad, and I can judge on the food for example split it up to make it last a lot longer.

You got me wondering about something. I wonder what the system is for house cleaning and doing dishes. In our house I do all the dishes. Not just the ones I use. If I didn't, the dishes would pile up. My daughter vacuumes the carpet in the living room, foyer, and the hallway and her room. I vacuum my room and sweep and mop the kitchen. We kind of work together, but knowing your family isn't very cohesive it has me wondering.

I wish I could only spend that amount of money on grocerys. my grocery bill runs around 80 dollars a week. and that does not include meat. I shop at walmart.

Do you just shop for yourself? I only have myself and 6 animals. So this doesnt include their foods, and necessaities as I buy them a different time of the month. I barely eat a lot of meat so I'm lucky in that way. What do you buy? Do you buy packaged items? I have been shopping i the oriental / international aisles as they are so cheap.

It is great that you managed to do so well grocery shopping, and it is something that I am trying to do at the moment as well because we are trying to save money as a family right now. One of the things that I like doing is bulk buying things when they are on offer, because it means that we can save a fair amount than we would have been able to if we'd have bought them week by week. I also like to buy frozen vegetables these days rather than fresh ones, because they last a lot longer and it also means that they are a lot cheaper.

It is always really nice when we are able to find things at the grocery store for a large amount of money off. In fact, I have taken to doing most of my grocery shopping later in the day because of the fact that our grocery store does do their mark downs a little bit later in the day. My best finds have been that I've been able to find meat marked down by a large extent because it had a sell by date in just a couple of days.
There is nothing wrong with it and I'm able to freeze it so that I can save it for later.

That is great that you were able to buy enough food to last you a few weeks. I shop every week and end up spending about 50.00 a week. I shop for three people (Randy, my brother and I). I shop at a store called Winco which has some great prices. I do shop in Walmart occasionally, but lately their prices have not been great. Do you eat alone or does the family try to eat with you?
